Junk Sleep mode is a giant pain and requires the printer to be turned off and on a lot. This thing lasted 2 years and 2 months with infrequent use.
Thick black line on prints. Disappointed I was super excited to get a "Brother" for a reasonable price as I just started a business that requires a high volume of printing for a home-based business. The instructions led me to seek assistance from YOUTUBE. I found a video and thought I was on my way. Well no, I print 2 pages and as seen there is a black line throughout the length of the document. Never been so pissed over a printer It is so difficult to connect and have it remain connected to a wifi. It goes idle sporadically and won' t comeback online. It worked fine the first week then nothing. I've followed all the tutorials to take it out of Deep Sleep but nothing seems to fix the issue. It's garbage. Sad my return window closed.
not reliable Having to power cycle and remove then reinsert the toner cartridge in order to get it to print each time, I would not recommend brother printers
This lemon gave me a sour taste, oh brother This printer, as you can see is in pristine condition. After a month, it ceased to function, unable to connect or communicate with a computer via any mechanism. Many hours were spent with tech support and trying to fix the printer. This printer was necessary for my job, and it let me down. I'll never buy another brother product. Avoid this at all cost.
No good for foil prints The peint quality after the first few sheets is awful. More than half of everything I've printed has come out crooked. After only a few dozen pages, documents started coming out with extra toner smeared on the front and back of each sheet. When using heavier card stock, th printer has a tendency to dog-ear pages. I have wasted so much money on paper and time because of the low quality of this printer.
terrible printer i've had this printer for three years and it has been an uphill battle. the paper tray always says 'no paper' even though there are hundreds of sheets in it. super glitchy and unreliable. every time i print i have to take the paper tray in and out, in and out, sometimes over ten times. usually once it gets going it works, but, not every time. so for every print job in and out the stupid tray goes. wish i had tested it out before the return window closed, would definitely not have kept it.
Practical Quit buying do it all printers that always need ink. Buy this one that always works for the 95% of jobs you need to do. I don’t often need color or a scanner (use your phone), or does anybody still fax. I’m never buying a crappie combo machine again. This is what most people need.
Easily one of the worst purchases I've ever made in my life A) Does not connect to WiFi. Complete waste of that function. B) There is no way to figure out how to open the toner drawer. I had to watch a YouTube video where hundreds of people were also perplexed. C) There is something really stupid called a Tone Drum Base that you need to refill the toner.
