Major Disappointment, Do Not Buy This Printer! This printer has issues connecting to WiFi, even with WPS and the router next to it. The one I purchased died and brother replaced it with a refurbished one. The refurbished one also has issues with WiFi. This printer has some issues when printing from Windows computers when using WiFi. I have a desktop, and a laptop that are on Windows 8 and Windows 10 respectively. You get what you pay for Bought this printer in September 2019 and in March 2020 needs a new mother board AND power switch replacement. It's been in the Brother repair shop for a week amounts to a lifetime. I replaced the toner once, so use wasn't heavy and not in line with the whole system frying out. Repair person said this was typical of a low-end printer, which customers then replaced with another one rather than repairing. Save your money and buy a reliable, long-lasting printer.
Trips the circuit breaker every time I had an older Brother printer that I was very happy with (duplex, monochrome) and wanted to upgrade to something that supported Apple AirPrint. When I plugged it in and powered it on, however, the circuit breaker tripped. Okay, reset the breaker and the printer came on without tripping it again. Went through the install, including firmware upgrade (none needed). Next time I wanted to print (after it was asleep), it tripped the circuit breaker again when waking up. bad bad machine
Printer is always asleep, cannot print or Airprint The printer is always asleep. I bought this so my parents can Airprint from their iPads. But it never shows up when they select Airprint! So I have to use my desktop Mac to send a test print to "wake" the printer. I've used Brother printers for 10+ years, and this is the worst piece of junk I've ever purchased from them. makes loud noise!!!! I have have the two previous models of this, they we great, this one sucks
Waste of money This is the second brother printer I own. In both cases, once the starter toner is finished the printer does not recognize replacement toners, even the ones that came with the same printer. Resetting and contacting the supplier for support was useless . Never again!
Thing died just outside of warranty. Does not print anymore from wireless.
The price is not worth Price for this item is too high can’t expect much better to buy color printer
