Incompatible with AFCI breakers This printer will trip an AFCI circuit breaker without any other load on it. Other than that it works great, but who cares if it makes your lights and WiFi shut off every time you try to print?
Pain to setup again & again & again & again..... This is not my first Brother printer of this model. I had bought it once before and it gave me all kinds of issues from time to time - not connecting, deep sleep/coma mode, or printing out garbage. 5 years later I bought a similar model thinking that maybe they've learned from past issues and improved on it (it's price is hard to beat, ok?). Likes to sleep Can't write a review because can't wake it up to print anything. We will have to get a pro to come over and see what it wrong.
Not a full refund...never used! We were unable to use this printer as we are a very small church and have no computer, router, wifi, internet . We unpacked it, realized it wouldn't work for us, sent it back via UPS Zaza and now I find out I dont get full price back on this item....WHY???

Can't scan Get a scanner
Unreliable This is the third Brother printer I've had. The last one was a multifunction printer. All have had toner issues that prevented the units from working properly. This one, after three months of use, suddenly decided to stop recognizing the toner cartridge, which is almost entirely full. It keeps saying that I need to replace the toner cartrige and refuses to print, no matter how many times I've reinstalled the cartridge or inserted a new one. Tech support is nonexistent. Try a different manufacturer.
Quality and price. Gave printer away when I found out the price of a Brother cartridge and that generic cartridges don't work.
OK printer, duplex feature is a bonus; DISGRACEFUL setup I bought this for light duty use I a home office, where it is connected via wifi to two Macs and a Windows computer. I've set up dozens of printers on both Windows and Mac, including Brother. This was one of the most frustrating, On a Mac running OSX 10.14,("Mojave") the downloaded Brother package failed to connect to the printer using a USB cable - and I tried two USB cables.
