Works great but ran out of ink very quickly I was ecstatic with this printer. Have used only black and white laser printers for decades. My last was a HP printer that lasted over 20 years. And those years I was printing a lot. Scripts which were 120 pages for each copy. It would run out of ink after quite a long time - a year or more. Toner runs out way faster than advertised I have probably printed 250 pages (just plain black n white text) and the toner is empty. (My estimate is based on that I bought a ream with 500 sheets of copy paper and I’ve used about half.) The standard toner says it is good for 1200 pages and the higher end toner says 3000 pages. Not sure which one the printer comes with, but it’s certainly not living up to it’s advertising.
It’s awful on every level. Zero tech support other than outdated articles. No live support. Baffling setup. No structure to the file system that I can discern. The LCD screen continues to ask the same set up questions over and over. It’s apparently connected to my WIFI but will not print wirelessly. I’ll throw it off the roof later tonight and get something that doesn’t suck right out of the box. Don’t buy this hunk of doo doo.
Deep Sleep= Brain Dead This printer is very fickle. It routinely goes into a deep sleep mode- when this happens, nothing seems to rouse it so you’ll have to print your document elsewhere.
Died after 8 months The printer just stopped working and will no longer connect to the WiFi.
problematic reconnection During its sleep, reactivating is hard as it tells me "cannot find printer", and every time I have to reenter wifi password, which is the pain in my ass. DO NOT recommend!
Print So bad
Still not working right Set up has been a nightmare. It finds a wrong wireless connection every time. After tinkering off & on for days I went back to my old, slower Canon. Once holidays are over I will start again with the usual telephone bs & printing off or downloading way more pages of a manual in fine print & probably 5 languages trying to solve it. For sure the entry mode is set for tinier & much younger fingers than mine. I have a very old, simple, slowwww Brother that I have loved so I am beyond disappointed.
