Goes to sleep as soon as you turn it on. Absolutely the worst printer I’ve ever purchased! I’ve had it for 3 months and I still can’t get it to connect to my WiFi to print wirelessly. It constantly goes to sleep, as soon as you turn it on. It says it’s connected to my laptop then won’t print anything and says it’s in an error. I’ve tried to fix it many times, and even reloaded the hardware. I’m at a complete loss.
Hear good stuff, and it's anything but good. Yes it prints fast, yes it prints both sides and yes you can easily print from any device. BUT what's the point if every time you want to print the printer is locked in sleep mode and you have to unplug and plug in again. I'm giving this a one so others see it's main flaw and don't fall for it. If it didn't lock up in sleep mode it would easily get a 4 star, with a possible upgrade down the line, if it held up. Device used mainly at home, for regular use.
Garbage Cheap chinese made junk stopped working a month in. Do not buy unless you want to throw money in the trash.
Deep Sleep Printer was used once, tried to use it again and it went into some deep sleep mode and now I can't print . Had to give a star even though I didn't want to.
Replacement printer cartridge very expensive The replacement printer cartridge is very expensive, almost the price of a new printer, and the printer does not accept cheaper substitutes. It has a chip that ensures that you buy the overpriced Brother brand cartridge. I would not have bought this printer if I new this.
I have had it with inkjet printers I try to print as little as possible, but sometimes I can't get around it and I absolutely NEED to print stuff. So: We're looking at about 100 Pages per year. All of my inkjet printers worked great at first, but invariable the ink dried up and blocked the nozzles. Looking at my purchase history, I purchased a new printer about every other year. Prints fine. MADDENING to set up I'm in IT. Been in IT for 20+ years. I spent over two hours, using two different Mac computers, trying to get the printer to show up my simple, single router home wifi network, and I failed. I was trying to avoid keying in the wifi password manually because there's no keyboard on the printer, but I ended up having to do just that. Disappointing Sleep mode makes this printer a pain to use
Printer works great - toner durability is actually INSULTING Not only do you get a minimal amount of pages from the toner cartridge that comes with the printer, but the cost of the new cartridge $75 and the fact that tricks like shaking it does not inspire it to print even 1 page. ABSURD
