Never buy Brother printers This printer requires that you use Genuine Brother Toner Cartridges at three times the price. If you install any cartridge other than Brother your printer will not work!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
Terrible Set Up! Don't buy unless you already know how to set it up Terrible Set Up! Don't buy unless you already know how to set it up It took me many hours to figure out how to set up the printer. Much more complicated than Hp I had. It doesn't have a screen to show you the tabs. When you put in wifi password, you have to dial from 1 to z.... It's a stupid design and very time costly.
Setup? Cross your fingers. It would be nice to be able to set it up so that it works. Much too confusing. And Amazon charges almost as the printer itself for a technician to do the set up.
TERRIBE Setup Wizard for Windows 10 x64 (and how I got it working) I gave this a 2 stars because I am a technical and patient person who wasted about 7 hours trying to get this printer to work with my Windows 10 machine. It worked find for my wife's IOS machine and phone but I had a heck of a time getting it to work for my 'Windows 10 Pro Student' box. Useless garbage. A "network" printer that's impossible to get working, and if you do, after many hours of frustration, impossible to keep working. Be sure to read about the "deep sleep" nonsense. Wish I never bought this crap..
Unable to use 3rd party toner The printer itself seems very capable and has not given any issues... however it refuses to recognize any toner cartridges that are not genuine Brother cartridges. This has been the case for all these printers manufactured after October, 2018.
bought this for my wife I got some last night
Do not buy It looks that this printer can only use Brother's genuine ink cartridge. Other 3rd party cartridges cannot be recognized on this printer. Want to return it.
"No cable supplied" should have clearly appeared next to the order button. Really, 12:30 a.m., a big job due, and this new printer has no cable. This is really important buying information. No more Brother products!
