Poor quality I was excited since the price is good and Brother has a good name brand. After 10 pages, I started seeing poor quality. See my images. I called Amazon, they refused to exchange the printer. I called Brother Support, after 20 min wait, they tech wants me to go steps to clean the drum. Still issue not resolved. Do not waste your money or time. I should have stayed with HP. I have 13 yrs office printer and each page is clear as new.
NOT DUPLEX I specifically need a duplex printer. This printer is advertised as having an "auto-duplex" feature, which apparently DOES NOT mean the printer produces automatic duplex. You have to manually flip. I have no idea what "auto-duplex" supposedly means, if this printer does not print duplex.
Complete Garbage Ooh boy where to start> Let me see: - Every single page I have printed has had dark smudges and streaks on it - We have tried cleaning all the paint cartridges as specified in the manual but still same smudges in EVERY SINGLE print - Truly ABYSMAL color prints. Don't waste your time or money This is a piece of junk. It prints fine, if it ever gets to connect to your wifi network. We tried on our two wifi networks, and with our two work laptops (different companies) and could only get it to work intermittently on my wife's . How hard is it to make a plug and play printer anyway? Printer VERY dissatisfied when I can't make copies!!!!
310 prints before failure 5 months out of warranty Says Waste Toner unit is end of life. -- These are claimed by brother to be a 50,000 page lifespan and before 12 months, this error is a warranty issue. It's cheaper to print at the Library or a printshop than to own your own printer. We need to reconsider if printers are relevant in 2020. Printers aren't built to last - they are expensive eWaste bought annually. I'm done with them.
After less than a year, doesn't work. This printer is junk! Worked great for a few months, but then had nothing but problems.
DO NOT BUY!!! This printer looks like it would be great, and when it works, it is, but the damn thing loves to go into sleep mode. I can never print to this thing when I need to and then spend 3 hours trying to get it to print. it works for a few days, then Poof same issue again. Mine was a LEMON! My last printer was a Brother (monochrome laser printer) and it was cheap ($99) and worked perfectly! Decided to buy this color laser printer ($199) and it has been a DUD so far. It was printing dirty prints so I went through Brother customer support, which took over an hour troubleshooting, taking out and cleaning drums and other parts, reassembling, etc. Issue not resolved.
