Needs improvement Front desk attempted to put my husband, me and our two toddlers in separate, unadjoining rooms. Had to wait a half hour in the lobby— with the toddlers— to get the room type we booked. Phone didn’t work, vending machine was laughable, everything seemed run down. And the elevator situation— very bad. Be warned. Usually got a good response from requests, but always took a few tries.
The room smelled very strongly of mustiness.
Has 35 floors and only 2 elevators. We got stuck on the elevator twice and they had only one running afterwards. If you go don’t stay higher than the 2nd floor because going down the stairs from higher floors everyday is very annoying since the staircase is very small and claustrophobic. Think twice Was charged an extra fee I was not aware of upon checking in which made the favorable rates no longer worth the trade off. The hotel was dirty, the room cramped, the TV only had a few channels and some were snowy like the 80s antenna version, the elevator slow when it worked and got stuck once due to overloading, the lobby smelled like urine, the room smelled of smoke, and I don’t know what the pot laws are in NY but there was a ton of pot smell. I deeply regret staying here trying to save a few dollars.
