I get their goal is to upsell. But when a Horuzon Services LLC employee threatens to “call the Township” if I don’t schedule an expensive service, we’ll that can be considered extortion. By the way, I called in another trusted small plumbing business and they fixed the problem without extensive and expensive services. Horizon Services LLC will never step foot on my property ever again. I may in fact write a letter to the Better Business Bureau.

On Feb. 7th we had a service tech come out because our heater had stopped working. We were told it would be either $5k to fix, or we needed to replace the entire system. They said our oil tank would have to be replaced as well, but by an entirely different company. A sales rep came out that night and worked the numbers giving us a quote of just over $26k for the system. That number did NOT sit right with us, so the next day we had another hvac company come out. We have had a terrible experience with Horizon. I waited to post this in the hopes that our issues would be resolved by now. People make mistakes and I will always give someone the opportunity to correct it, but it's been over a month now. Our heat would not turn on back in early November. They sent a brand new inexperienced tech to look at our system. That did not go well. After a 2nd tech came out, they determined we would need a new boiler. They got to our house at 7AM for install. Horizon has installed our 16k HVAC and been our HVAC company for 15 years. I think..since the sale a few of years ago we have definitely noticed a downgrade in service although their technicians are very good!! We tried to schedule home fall maintenance with Horizon in October and we were told busy until December 15th between 10-12. Awful experience. Sales rep was great at promising the world, but delivered on NOTHING. We paid for a hassle free, customer service oriented experience. We received an improperly installed home heater. 6+ service appointments (each of which was on a work day forcing me to loose time at work) later, our system is functional. Used to be good, used to....... I used horizon since I purchased my home. They did my furnace 9,000.00 job well done. The did my central air conditioner, another 9,000.00 Job well done. They have also done lots of plumbing jobs, kitchen faucets, bathroom shower faucets conversion etc. All in all I spent over 25,000.00 dollars with them. Called for routine maintenance on my heater in October. Nothing available until 12/3. Booked it. Took off work today and technician not here yet. Called and spoke to a dispatcher who said someone called yesterday stating they had to move the appointment to February!! Told her I have no missed calls, no voicemails stating that. I did receive a text message reminder for my appointment today last night. Totally unprofessional. Go with a local independent guy! Less overhead, no advertising costs, no sales guy to pay. Tech told me he would follow up with an estimate to replace a part and in the meantime to just turn it off and on again to reset it. That was November 9th. No estimate was ever received so I'm back where I started with my furnce. Time to find a reliable company.
