heater unit was leaking water, horizon tech cane out and said the heater exchanger was cracked. even emailed us a picture. we had a 2nd company come for a 2nd opinion and it was just a loose hose ....NO CRACK FOUND!!!!!!! Horizon was about to scam us for $3000 plus!
you really don’t want my honest opinion all you really want is a standard BS on how did my team do. So here it goes a fail right from the beginning, first tech name Jarell Skipwith, couldn’t even find the clean out drain right in front of my house that resulted in him pulling up my toilet to run a snake. Very rude customer service reps Kasla(don't know if that is correct spelling) and Kyle who both refuses to email me on his company email regarding my bil'ling concerns and getting a refund. I was first told they didn't have a supervision, then they have one but I can't talk to them. I asked to speak with Dave the owner and I was told NO. they talked in circles. they said that nothing else can be do except believe them that they will have someone call me in 24 to 48 hours. The sales staff should be more honest. Quoted me a specific interest rate that was lower than financial institution charged. Advertised no payments nor interest for 6 months, which the salesman said he verified but financial institution said I only qualified for no interest for 6 month, principal payments started right away. Of course the air conditioning unit had already been installed prior to financial institution calling me with deals of the loan so I felt I had no recourse.
Doesn’t seem they care about their customers at all. My heat stopped working a few weeks ago and we had a technician out over 2 weeks. He diagnosed what he thought was the problem and said we need a new part and he will be back within a week to fix. A week goes by and nothing, so we called and they said “the technician didn’t get the right part number when he was there so the warehouse cancelled our order. I needed an itemized invoice so I could be reimbursed by my insurance company. The technician said that would not be a problem but the invoice I received was lump sum. When I called customer service they were very rude and stated that Horizon can not provide itemized invoices. Horizons policies cost me about $1,000. I would not use them again.
tried to say I needed a $7000 furnace for a cracked exchanger. turns out just needed a new board for 400. do not use!!!!
Services are more expensive than other local plumbing/heating contractors. Anytime they come to service the heater or AC, they always find something else to fix and often I don't believe it.
Okay Horizon you asked for it!!! I have been a customer of Horizon for the past 9-years and was happy with the service provided. However, in the past 14-months their service has changed drastically. In September 2019 I had plumbing work done in the bathroom, no problem there but I was told that my service agreement was expired and that I needed to sign up for another year at $89.00.
