We paid for ocean view room, not above 2nd floor. We were put on 7th floor, facing a construction lot. Hotel moved us to a lower room but not with the ocean view paid for. Amenities were acceptable but much of hotel remains closed off for construction. Beach has been completely redone,making access somewhat difficult. I brought my 89 year old mother here for a birthday trip. She was disappointed by beach access.

Overpriced and overrated Overpriced and overrated! We had no idea there would be construction during our stay! Would’ve canceled…first room was facing garbage, laundry containers and construction. Had to pay more to move to another room. Only one tiny elevator working, so we pretty much climbed 4 flights of stairs, with three kids, every time we went anywhere. We will not be back. We will stay someplace else that is much more affordable and accommodating.

Disappointing Del Expectations and price are high for this hotel. The amount of construction was also much more impactful than anticipated!

I’m so disappointed in the del Coronado hotel. It was awful. The renovation means construction that starts at 6:30 am. All of the elevators a s staircases are closed so we had to walk a long way to our room and climb four flights of stairs. We requested housekeeping to bring towels. They never came. The staff is not Educated as to where things are on the property. We had to pay for chairs and an umbrella on the beach!!!!!! The pool was overcrowded. It was a huge disappointment. And we paid a lot of money to stay there!!!!!

Overpriced hotel with very few amenities. Moldy bathroom, window glued open, noisy at night, no room service, staff not interested in service/not enough staff. Netflix requires your account information. Alot to pay for for simply a view of the beach and a nice San Diego beach. Better options out there.
