Bad service. No one answered the phone - ever. It is under staffed.
The only thing going for this ratty place was the location in Coronado. Other than that, this place is so old, smells moldy, all of the floors creek like it’s about to crumble and were crooked. They claimed to have a “sanitized and clean facilities” and yet they put us in a dirty room where the bed wasn’t made, wine glasses on the floor, trash in the bathroom and the sink is so close to the vanity you can hit your head and legs getting up. Construction brought out the roaches. This is my favorite hotel and I’m sorry to say this stay we had roaches in both of the rooms. First room was beautiful until we found a big roach in the bathroom. Then we moved to another room and a roach jumped out of the closet. We know it’s not normal for this historic hotel, we have stayed here many times before when there was not construction. We only got a credit of $100 and free parking. Our bill was still $379. This hotel needs a complete makeover. The location is the only redeeming factor. The carpet is so old and dirty, I didn’t want my feet to touch it. My room wasn’t cleaned the whole stay even after asking. The front desk staff were not very courteous. It’s a shame!I will never stay at Hotel Del Coronado again!

Room smelled bad no ac , construction non stop .construction workers hanging out side our windows listening to our conversations. half time the elevator doesn't work and the rooms are so hard to get to because of construction and and down elevators so if there was a fire we would be screwed because there was one available staircase. so they moved us rooms and the next one was even worse! Overpriced Way overpriced and overrated. Our room had black ants in the tub, the room was loud but clean. The food was extremely expensive and it took 45 minutes to get a burger that was less than average. I really enjoyed San Diego but did not like this hotel.
