The property is under construction and obviously understaffed. The room price is exceptionally high for the value. During the renovation they should be discounting the rooms. We were supposed to be able to check in for one night at 4pm. At 5pm the original room still wasn't ready due to maintenance. Got another room and couldn't get hot water.

Our room was a horrible dated mess with construction directly in front of our balcony. We had to upgrade our room to not see the construction on property. Our new rom was fantastic but the horrible customer service would not bring us back. The culture of the customer experience Is just not there. Because of that that’s why I would not return.

This was the worst stay I've ever experienced at a luxury resort. Check-in was 4 PM but our room wasn't ready until 7 PM. Our luxury king ocean front room looked out to porta pottys. There was no warning that an ugly eyesore was right in front of our room. We will never, ever come back. We will never stay in a Hilton property again. Simply awful.

I wish we were told the hotel was under massive renovations before I booked it! 1/2 the hotel was blocked off, including main entrance and lobby areas. I want some sort of refund for this now.

Rooms were run down with old wrinkled up carpet. Children running up and down halls late at night. Had to go to front desk twice to complain about noise because no would answer. $1600 for three nights and ive stayed at better Best Westerners. Supposed to be enjoyable trip with kids after a year of covid and it really was disappointing for all of us. Stayed at Mission Bay the first two nights at Hyatt, now we wished we stayed there the whole time.

Buyer BEWARE: 6 AM wake up by construction Beware: I have stayed at the Del over the past 10 years with last year being the exception due to Covid. A friend said she saw poor reviews due to construction so I called to be sure it would not affect our reservation which was an Victorian Ocean View. The hotel reception assured me that the construction was on the towers next door and not the Victorian section of hotel. Waited to stay here for years... disappointed Very disappointing. Paid a hefty amount for a small room with dirty carpet, poor customer service and a majority of the most sought after parts of the hotel are closed for construction, which was a surprise when we arrived.

The property is undergoing major construction and we were awaken after our first night at 6am to power drilling and hammering it sounded like right outside our room. It woke the whole family. They changed our rooms for us but had to have known there would be major construction noise on that side of the property. Those rooms should not have guests staying in them. For how expensive the hotel is nightly there should not be major construction work right outside guests rooms at 6 am.
