They are NOT looking out for the customer as a "credit union". If you are a victim of fraud they will NOT help you in any capacity. I was a victim of an Apple Store scam with a fake cashiers check. I took it into ICCU to be cashed and the teller immediately cashed it, knowing that I did not have the funds in my own account to cover it, and they didn't hold any of the funds until it cleared as ALL banks do. ICCU is going down the toilet. Used to LOVE banking with ICCU, we've been with them for years. Applied for an auto loan, after getting passed around to about 5 different people (LITERALLY) they said we got approved for a vehicle loan with agreed upon down payment. (It's ALL in writing) Then at finalization they were asking for TRIPLE the down payment amount like it's pocket change?! I do not advice this Credit Union. I have a Checking and Savings account and though there are sometimes good people working as tellers, mostly I found it a bank difficult to deal with. The last thing that I had to deal with: About two months ago I re-ordered a bank card, the one I had was old and close to expiration. I specifically reminded the customer service on the phone, not to disconnect the current bank card I had until the other one arrives by mail. My daughter chose the bank as it was convenient in her travels. The problems started right away when they began adding fees and then she would get an overdraft and that would snowball into a big issue. They would refuse to admit that the fees which weren't advertised were the cause of the issue. Finally she decided to stop business with them and paid them back. I called to report a billing error, got Scott from Pocatello he was very rude insisting the issue was on my end. I attempted to explain the issue was on their end several times. After the back and forth for over 30 minutes, I closed the card (which they made me pay for their mistake to close).

In the process of my 2nd and LAST experience with ICCU. 1st being on the selling end and the 2nd being on the buying end. Both terrible experiences. The amount of mistakes (multiple), lack of training, and absolute terrible communication and customer service skills. If you have other choices, utilize them before ICCU

I've had an ICCU account since I was old enough to open one and since I was 17 they have been the worst credit union I've ever dealt with. I keep the account open simply for the line of credit to improve my credit score, they are useless for anything else. I called to order a new card over a month ago, after calling once a week for 2 weeks for updates on its location a "specialist" finally informed me it was never even ordered. Which was annoying and upsetting to say the least since I'd waited about 6 weeks at this time for ... read more

Horrible and incompetent loan officers, they have no idea what they are doing. I would avoid at all costs unless you want to pay more than you originally owed.

I've dealt with these guys twice now. Both times they refused to valuate my home at the correct value. Significantly undervaluing my home, twice... I gave them proof from an independent professional broker using a Brokers Price Opinion (BPO) from back in DECEMBER, which was four months ago. My home is worth far more now than it was then, and everyone knows it. At first they went off last years Tax Assessors value, which is significantly low, and everyone knows it...why would they use a number that is consistently wrong ... read more
