SCAM insurance. Don't pay out. Rude. Send you on a run around. Keep you on indefinite hold. Put you on silent hold without advising. Misinformation. Never less than 4 hours and accomplish nothing. Pay the monthly premiums to find yourself with a bill for $130,000. Might as well have died at the hospital! Should have looked a BBB reviews before agreeing to policy.
This is the worst insurance company in the world. I’m a contracted employee and I’ve been give. Nothing but the run around. They keep saying I’m not covered but I’ve paid my bill on time each month. I have to call and sit on hold for hours. This is highway robbery on how it’s sold. This shouldn’t be allowed and they have off shore calling centers that can’t help you. Don’t ever sign up for this horrible company. My family is now in severe debt because of them. It’s so very sad and awful while someone is making millions.
My provider & I have been fighting with IBA to pay a claim for over one year! I’ve had the short term coverage well before my outpatient surgery. In fact, my provider received pre-certification & still they claim pre-existing condition. My benefit states a pre-existing condition is one within 5 years. IBA received my records-there was no pre-existing condition. They have every excuse in the book to deny my claim and they keep changing the reason! You cannot reach a supervisor that knows anything. Held over 217 minutes to talk with a supervisor because I had called about claims four previous times. Actually, I went to lunch and came back STILL ON HOLD!! Cannot believe BBB gives them this good rating!! This company lies -- two different occasions. This insurance company is horrible, the worst in the world. I am self employed and paid this insurance company $ 900.00 a month for almost 2 years for my husband and myself. I went into the hospital in February of 2019 for a tumor on my brain and they paid zero (0) dollars of my medical bills. I have over $100,000 in medical bills because they would not pay one cent. Dealing with this company has caused me more frustration and stress than anything else I've ever experienced. They deny all medical claims and when I call them to find out why, they said they needed the medical records but would not call or fax my doctors requesting them. This is by far the worst insurance company I have ever had to deal with. I work for a provider in the claims dept and every time you call this insurance company they give you the run around. I have a spreadsheet with numerous claims that are pending with this insurance and have called at least 10 times on each patient w/ still no resolution. As with others that have posted reviews, if I could I would leave 0 stars if the BBB systems allowed for it. Our company was acquired by a company that uses IBA for processing of medical insurance coverage/claims. While they have paid pharmacy claims, my family continues to see issue with long details with paying medical claims, to the point were IBA claims that the check is in the mail, provides the providers with check numbers that never materialize. This company is a nightmare to deal with. I work with a provider and they don't pay their customers claims. They ask for medical records, and then claim they never got them. When I call them they tell me they did receive the records and they are escalating the claim, and then nothing happens, I call back and they tell me they don't have medical records. THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY!
