Japanese Auto Masters was founded in 1982 by Tom and Cindi Potter in a small shop close to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Tom originated Japanese Auto Masters to address the needs of consumers driving Japanese-made vehicles at a time when there were no independent repair service centers that specialized exclusively in all Japanese makes and models. We also service all Domestic vehicles as well.

Top notch - I have been taking my cars to Japanese Auto Masters since 1997.
Business response:
Mark, Sorry about the failed instrument cluster issue. This is not a frequent problem, but as vehicles age, once-in-awhile we run into items like this. If you want I can research the possibility of locating a good used unit via the internet. Just let us know. Thanks for being a loyal customer.
Dave took the time to drive the car to determine source of "sounds", then put in a bolt to hold up the front flap as a courtesy. He topped off fluids so I could drive out of town for the weekend safely. I was offered a ride to and from work on Monday while the car was being repaired. Excellent service!
Great service with superb results.
Business response:
Ben, yours was a tough one for a first visit. We always want to provide the best experience for all customers, but especially for first-time customers. I am glad to hear everything went well, however if you have any concerns please let us know. Thanks for the business.
Prices were high but I lovr you guys.
Business response:
Stewart; thanks for the high marks. We appreciate all the business you send us. I want to ride with you if the noise in the brakes continues to be a problem.
Excellent service!
Business response:
Mr. Tyree, We appreciate your business. Thanks for the statement!
Only slightly unsatisfied because $300 break fix didn't change anything, but further repair is needed, so still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Business response:
I am aware the repairs your vehicle needed have now been completed. I hope the ABS issue has been resolved satisfactorily. If any problem remains, we stand ready to make it right.
The best automotive shop in town!
Business response:
Thanks for the complement. We appreciate it.
Very nice facility. The waiting area was clean and a pleasant place to wait for work to be completed.
Business response:
Wow, thanks for the complement on the waiting area. It's a far cry from our humble beginnings 33 years ago.
always a pleasant experience. I feel that they are honest and don't try to "up sell" products or repairs. Everyone is polite and knowledgeable about the repairs being recommended
Business response:
Sherryl, As you know there is a huge difference between up selling and informing. We prefer to inform and when applicable explain so the customer is better able to make an educated decision as to how best to invest their hard earned dollars. Thanks for the comments; we appreciate your business.
