outside hotel sidewalk had lots of garbage. Very limited parking. Book in advance or you won't get a space. Street parking 2 hours meter only.
I am disappointed in both Expedia and La Quinta. Upon my arrival in NYC, we headed to the hotel to find that it was not in a safe area. I had three teenaged girls with me, so staying at the property did not seem like a good idea. I asked to be canceled and rebooked elsewhere. Both parties denied the cancellation. I had to pay full price for the room but stayed at another location (which I booked through Expedia). I paid $900 in hotel rooms that day for a one-night stay. Made reservations for 3 adults 2 teenagers. Got a room that only accommodate 4. Very uncomfortable. They did not have any pull out bed. NO PARKING AVAILABLE FOR US!! TRY PARKING IN THE AREA HORRIBLE. I believe I should get refunded for this HORRIBLE stay. NOT RECOMMENDED EVER.
Smells like smoke in the rooms even though it s smoke free hotel. Opened leftover drinks in the fridge from previous customer. Not all outlets are working.
Excellent hotel staff ! However the property is located in a horrible, unsafe area. Not safe, especially for families with minor children. Also advertise parking, however they have a VERY SMALL lot, approx. six (6) spaces located in the rear of the building (directly across from the area that the homeless congregate). Breakfast consist of a bowl of cereal.
This location is in a high crime area. On an unlit stretch of ramp up to Atlantic Avenue. There is a homeless camp on that stretch now. I am a life long New Yorker but this is a lonely dangerous unsafe walk to this place. There were fights in the room next door to mine. Those fights were not resolved since security is non-existent and no cops were called, but I was moved to a floor where homeless people were being housed (likely from a program run by city or NY State) and that room had a broken TV and the carpet smelled so s... read more
