Lat minute San Marcos trip - my reservation included a sofa or pull out bed which was missing once I arrived and was not compensated for it. Elevators were not working which made going up to 3rd floor exhausting with all luggage.
For the price experience was disappointed, shortage staff and so on ..
This hotel needs a lot of maintenance and housekeeping. Lots of broken things in this hotel. I will never return. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had a bad experience. The breakfast was very limited and the staff is very low. Please read reviews before going there to avoid any disappointments it is truly a one star hotel.
This place smells like mildew in the elevator and the floors were sticky after switching us out of the first room that had wall damage and the door latch was broken from being kicked in. One of the worst la quintas I have stayed in
A man opened my door and came in my room, I was standing there with no pants on. He says "Sorry'', I stare at him and say absolutely nothing. Hey says "Sorry'', I stand there and stare at him and say nothing, he says "Maintenance'' and closes the door and leaves my room.......about 1 hour later a different man (I look through the peephole), knocks on my door over and over and keeps saying "Maintenance'' knocks ''Maintenance" knocks.......I don't answer the door........another 30 minutes later this happens again. The only good thing was that its close to the ball fields where my son had a tournament over the weekend.
I am disappointed in this particular facility. It a little too pricy for what it is. I stayed in the first floor in front of the elevator, which was very noisy at all times. Then the breakfast buffet was very limited. Items seemed to be scarce, there was not enough food (the bacon was stale, the fruit was not fresh) there was no Splenda, only off-brand sweetners. I asked for extra pillows and was ignored. I think I paid too much for one night. Next time, I am staying closer to downtown Austin or in Round Rock.
Needs more staff The good: comfortable beds, good breakfast, friendly but overworked staff. The not-so-good: rooms are not serviced during your stay. We were there 4 nights! I’ve never stayed in any hotel where you had to ask the front desk for everything—towels, soap, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee. I understand the hotel industry is facing a labor shortage, but I have stayed in a number of hotels recently and others seem to be handling the situation better.
