Lamps Plus

HIGHER PRICES, NO SERVICE, NO RETURNS – My husband and I searched high and low for a ceiling lamp and sconces for our office remodel. We decided to go with Lamps Plus even though it was more expensive than other options because they had a product we liked which matched the overall decorating scheme of our house. The ceiling light was nice and good quality. The sconces, which matched it, were cheap crap. The scavo glass for one broke during assembly. The glass for another cracked after it was installed. Lamps Plus said the sconces were discontinued and no parts were available. We had to buy 2 additional sconces and got a whole $1 off on a clearance price. When my husband complained to the manager, he was told, "Oh well, you have extra parts." If any of these lamps ever break, we will be forced to buy a whole new set plus new ceiling light. $1000 plus down the drain. Apparently, Lamps Plus does not believe in the implied warranty of merchantability. We will be demanding a refund for the two sconces that broke. Will never shop there again.

Terrible customer service and no quality guarantees – I bought a floor lamp at Lamp's Plus and 1 year later we heard a sound like a gunshot in our house. The large glass housing around the bulbs had cracked in 2 or 3 places. Apparently one of the halogen bulbs had gone out and caused the lamp to break. It could have shattered on the floor and hurt one my young children. I had to go to Lamps Plus 3 times just to talk to a manager. They refused to give me a refund or a store credit for the lamp despite its obvious safety issues. I will never shop at Lamps Plus again.

need light? You cannot miss this place as your driving down Hawthorne blvd. It has an amazing slection of lamps and fans and it is will worth the trip if your willing to cough up the dough. If you ahve one of those hosues where you only buying rich stuff, this is where you wanna go. All the lamps and fans are on show, so it is easy to see how they would look. PROS: CONS: bit expensive

PROS: One-stop shop for lighting, offer on-site technician to visit home CONS: Found the same item at Home Depot for almost half the price

I have used Lamps Plus for a few lighting upgrade projects recently. They have a huge selection to choose from at this location. Staff has always been quite helpful. They have even coordinated all aspects of installation. Lamps Plus can send a lighting consultant to your home to help evaluate options to address your particular needs.
