We love this bank and I know you will too. As far as banks go we are very happy with LBSFCU. ATM's are free at any FCU even if it is another bank. That is a huge plus for us!

I opened an account here when I recently moved to Long Beach. The woman opening my account was helpful, efficient, and explained all my options. The teller that I dealt with before I joined was so friendly and helpful that I was moved to open an account immediately. I have used their apps, online bill pay, and automatic deposit and they have all worked flawlessly. Sometimes when I go into the bank I wait for 3-5 people ahead of me, but the line moves fast. After reading a few posts on here it would seem that the people are satisfied with lbcu but that they dont rate it higher than three stars for whatever reason. They are so friendly and helpful as well as they give free notoriety service to anyone. Plus its a freaking credit union who does not have to answer to share holders wich makes it a more sustainable not for profit company.
Plenty of parking, security is present... Walk up window and inside service windows. Experienced some minor issues with customer service in the past, addressed the issue in writing and received a sincere apology. For the most part, the service tellers are very helpful answering questions and are polite. Can get a little hectic at times though with foot traffic but overall, my hard earned money have been happy calling LSBFCU home now for over 12 years now. (Now I have my mattress all to myself)
I used LBS to finance a motorcycle purchase. I applied for credit at my motorcycle dealer, and the dealership used LBS as my lender for my bike loan. So, I'm not really a checking/savings customer. Rather, they are just my finance company for my motorcycle. I can't comment on service, but the rate I got financed at was OUTSTANDING, below the lowest I could find. When you financed your motorcycle through LBS Financial you also became a Member of our Credit Union which included the opening of a Share Savings account (this is your Membership in the Credit Union). This savings account gives you access to online banking to check your loan balances. We can also set up the automatic payments for you if you'd like from an account outside the Credit Union to your loan. Let us know if we can help further!
As an added bonus, and as a comment to people who would like to move to this credit union but don't want to give up easy ATM access: every 7-11 ATM machine carries zero fee when using your LBS card. You can only withdraw money or look at your balance (or maybe transfer cash too?), so you still have to truck to a branch to make a deposit (no convenient downtown branch). But still. I couldn't be happier with my liberation from what had obviously become a hostile banking environment at all the majors.
I had to take some stars away from my beloved credit union. About two months ago, they sent me a advertisement for their Labor Day Used Car Sale - which was really convenient considering I was in the market for a new car. How perfect, I thought. I'll be able to get a car at a good price and get funding from the credit union that I trust. I'm sure you can guess at what is coming. It didn't quite work out that way. Very convenient location with a large parking lot and even street parking too. The ATM's are really easy to get to. They have great rates and helpful employees. Couldn't ask for any better!
