We just helped our daughter refinance her loan and began our relationship with a company called ****** and ****** in Denver, Colorado. Their Management head, Joe ******* was gracious and helpful, assuring us in the beginning our loan would not be sold. Dealing with hardship during 2020 Covid 19 I had to do a forbearance plan. Once life was returned to normal I tried to settle the forbearance. I initially tried to get everything back in order in feb. 21, only to find out that they never paid my renewal for Home insurance and was trying to put me on theirs which was double the cost. I have been trying for 2 hours to speak to the "right person" and keep getting bounced around. I have been paying extra monies towards my principal each month. Loancare has, rather than apply the payment towards principal as I have checked off each month, been paying it towards a future payment. What this does is ensure that they get full interest in the future rather than contracting the interest due to my overpayment towards the principal. This is fraud. I got a mail from them that we sent a few days ago saying that they got hacked. The unauthorized access stole my name, address, and SSN!! They said they contracted a cyber security company which apparently doesn't have a high review but worst of all, they gave me only a one-year free subscription to this cyber security service. It is known that hackers will keep that info for years and then they use it to steal and harm. So instead of giving us 3-5 years of free monitoring tool, they gave us only one. I was behind with my payments in February of 2020 and got a letter of Loancare's intent to foreclose. Contacted LoanCare and informed them that I had sold the house and would be closing on the house in question March 13th of 2020. Fast forward 2 years I am trying to get a loan for a house I am buying contract for deed and I am told I can't get a mortgage due to a foreclosure reported April of 2020 by LoanCare. I am voicing my complaint against Loancare. When I call to make a payment for my mortgage payment for March, there system is messed up and telling me that I am 3 months behind which is ridicolous. We had a water insurance claim last April and received two insurance checks. The first check was under a certain amount so we mailed it in and received it back. This money was just to get us started according to our Adjuster. We then received a second check and Loancare told us we needed to fill out a hold harmless agreement and get an inspection, (most of the work is completed now and we have been coming out of pocket to pay). Received notification on April 4, 2022 that during a data breach in "early December 2021", that my information was impacted. Was told I was eligible for a complimentary 1 year service. When I attempted to sign up for this service, was unwilling to give me full SSN to a company that I have never heard of.
