Purchased our vacation home under a "seller will carry" agreement. We've owned the home for seven years now (14 year loan), and we have never missed a payment. WE have been out of our home for almost two years due to Hurricane Michael. We had to fight with our insurance company to get payment then our mortgage company Loan Care holds our money. We have to beg for funds to be released. We asked over month ago for inspection and it took over two weeks to get inspection and now after month still no release of funds. Worse than worse. Do not know what they are doing - multiple request of documents that have alredy been sent - impossible to get a human being on the phone. Avoid them like a plague
My mortgage was originally through PHH and I refinanced my loan and Loancare (Lakeview Loan Servicing, LLC) took over my loan. They are the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Poor customer service, uncooperative agents and not applying loan payments on time so they can rack up late fees. If I could give them a zero rating I would. This is the worst experience of any business i have ever had. The list of issues goes on beyond the space i can write. Small example, Loancare took my mortgage payments and redistributed the money to fees and escrow causing me to go into foreclosure. Even though i have made payments every month. It took me far too long and multiple frustrating calls to have them correct it. "Customer Service " is non existent. My payment was mailed over two weeks ago and has not been credited to my account. OK, mistakes can happen - but I have been trying to reach them for several days trying all avenues including their nightmarish phone menu , website, email etc. Have not been able to establish contact. How did they become licensed to conduct business in my state let alone be accredited by BBB?
I increased my additional principal payment and figured out a month later that my credit went from 822 to 704. modifying auto draft automatically suspended it without any notification, no text, no call no email and even no mail. they reported the late payment immediately even if I have no way to know. I guess been a good customer doesn't pay. I will avoid them like the plague
Father died in May - I am a successor, Loan Care for Lakeview put me on as successor. For the last 5 weeks, I have been trying to have them have me assume the loan for I have been payment the payments since June and even paid up through September (date today is 8/18/2020) I have been on hold a total of over 28 hours - one person did answer, but then I disconnected before I could answer back. This company is horrible. They put me into forbearance after a 2 hour phone call where I asked them every possible question about an effect on my credit score. They never told me that they report your forbearance to the credit bureau which automatically lowers your credit score. I made all my payments but they still have not reported my april payment. Through all of this they found time to raise my mortgage payment based on my bill from last year. I bought my home in the middle of last year so I didn't receive any exemptions... read more
