If I could give less than one star I would. We have had them as our loan service since ours was sold off to them 3 years ago. Always pay on time. In October my husband lost his job and we got two payment behind. They sent a very deceiving letter saying they were "here to help" with options. I call to get into these programs promptly and all of a sudden they aren't offered to me or unavailable at this time. So they are definitely not "here to help"
Terrible company. Impossible to get a competent associate on the phone. My mortgage payment has increased hundreds of dollars over the past few months even though interest and principal balance has decreased. When trying to explain this to any agents they sound unsure, misquote interest rates, confuse my mortgage with ARM vs fixed, review another loan instead of mine, quote wrong payment information and ask that I submit requests for call back via a link on website. Worst lending institution ever dealt with. It only took a month or so to for me to refi to another lending institution (after ******* sold the note to LoanCare). Too many issues to state here, no customer service, sent (4) inquiries (email) of which none were returned, stated they could not stop ACH payment withdrawals (I had to do a stop pay when switching lenders), customer service deliberately hung up on me as the "transferred me to another representative" (happened 2 times).
I bought my house a year ago on 1/2/19 and decided to have an escrow account with the lender. I just received an email from my home insurance company that my policy is cancelled due to no payment. I reviewed my account with LoanCare and a disbursement was made on 1/1/2020 for my home insurance. I called my home insurance company to let them know that a payment has already been made. This company tries to Keep you confused and as a result you will be late on your payment you can count on that and then as a result customer service will not help you you can ask for a supervisor and most of the time and I'll just hang up this company is a scam it's not just me yell past 600 bad reviews credit karma has another 80 bad reviews that's just a short list thousands of people are getting screwed by this company if it all possible stay away from it
To anybody that is wondering LoanCare is now rated the number 1 worst loan company in the United States of America. Like looking at the 950+ negative reviews didn't already tell you that.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Can't talk to a person and when you finally do they can't resolve any issues. They have totally messed up my escrow account by paying an incorrect tax bill. Now they have adjusted escrow balance to account for their error. Unbelievable?
So, my loan was transferred to Lakeview Loan Servicing, LLC- Loan Care in December by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. When i received the letter I immediately looked up LoanCare and found that Fairway had sold my loan to a company the has a horrible reputation and terrible reviews. I have lived in a 21' camper since Hurricane Michael, well over a year. It has not been long since I settled with my insurance company. It was a fight to say the least. NOW, all I get from Loancare is a hassle in trying to pay my contractor and get reimbursed. I hope these no caring individuals NEVER have to know what it feels like to have to FIGHT to get your home fixed the way I am having to do.
