Get directionsI was charged over $600 to see a specialist, a supposed dermatologist only to find Dr. Blauvelt is not a dermatologist, despite my email from LIVS stating he was one! Nice guy but Outrageous prices and despicable to lie about your level of expertise, I am currently waiting for management to ameliorate this theft. Literally nothing was done to make my cat any better, human Zyrtec was prescribed which was pointless waste of money and superfluous ear medicine, just horribly overpriced this is hard enough on human and animal a... read more
Mr. Andrew Shih, I hope he gets a new job that doesn't deal with lives of someone's family. He seemed to hate his job and doesn't even care about pets. "You are looking at a bill of about $10,000 including CT scan fee" LOL no thanks. Chances are higher I'd invent a feline scan machine myself than paying that. My cat (2 yo) has most likely caught kitty cold from other cats we have. We explained everything and he concluded our cat might have a cancer. (By the way she's completely recovered now.) During the consultation, w... read more
If you want to spend $3,765 to find out your cat is constipated, then this is the place for you. The overnight doctor gave her IV fluids, enemas and laxatives, while the daytime doctor only prescribed a take home medication. There were 25 entries on the invoice from the overnight doctor and 1 entry from the daytime doctor where my cat spent 12 hours. I brought her in at 10PM and was told that someone would call me at the shift change at 7AM. No one called. I contacted the vet at 9:30AM only to be told he was on rounds a... read more
DO NOT GO TO THIS ANIMAL HOPSPITAL! THEY ARE THEIVES AND LIARS! I brought my cat to them to have tests done and confirm if he had suspected FIP. I barely spoke to anyone, was not given any additional instructions and was not sent home with any medications. I did not get the results until over a week later. If it was not for my local vet, my cat would have been dead! When I finally spoke to the doctor he said he was terribly sorry for the late response as the results were put in someone else's mailbox. He then said I should... read more
On Sunday evening my dog collapsed and was having difficulty breathing. We called ahead and after waiting on hold for almost 10 minutes with the emergency line, they told us to park in front of the building and someone will be there waiting for us. We pull up. No one waiting and no one at the front desk. We eventually get them to send someone out who doesn't even try to help get the dog out of the car. Instead he goes back inside and rolls out with a small, rickety metal cadaver table (smaller than my dog) and tells us to pu... read more
My review is solely on the vet, Dr Andrew Shih. The support staff, from the front desk, to the vet techs were very kind and compassionate. We went on Friday evening after our 16 year old Lhasa Apso, collapsed near the back door. The dog has been declining in health for several months now. We came to the very difficult decision to euthanize the dog. The "so called" vet came in and asked what the problem was, we stated his health has been on a steady decline, limited mobility, loss of bowel/bladder functions, sleeps a lot,... read more
Never in my life have I had to deal with such incompetent and uncompassionate staff, the reception staff is both incapable of retaining basic information such as a phone number that is repeated to them multiple times but they also are not empowered by even the most basic knowledge to answer a simple question without placing you on hold for 5-6 minutes to ask somebody else how to answer a basic inquiry. The medical staff has no bedside manner and are pushy and withholding with information. For a profession that literally base... read more
I brought my dog in for a left leg surgery, the referral stated left leg, all the paperwork stated left leg. My boyfriend and I mentioned her left leg multiple times during the consult. The doctor made a mistake and the surgery was done on the right (incorrect) leg. I've yet to receive an apology, instead they are saying this was a "miscommunication". I'm not sure how much clearer we could have been that it was the left leg that needed the surgery. The communication was very very clear. Rather than escalating this to a high... read more
Bad memories of a terrible experience. Our lab had therapy for leg injury there and never recovered. We had to put him down and fought for un-used therapy we were required to pay for in advance. Had to pay in advance when we went there to put him down. They wouldn't let us see him for more than an hour. We begged to spend time with him at the end but we were made to sit in the waiting room. Then we got rushed through the procedure. We felt our emotions were taken advantage of. I am posting this old story again becaus... read more
