I was very disappointed with the customer service and overall experience at Long Island Veterinary Specialists. The atmosphere felt cold and impersonal -- staff members seemed disengaged and there was little sense of compassion toward clients or their pets. Dr. Sapienza, despite his reputation as a leading eye specialist, came across as dismissive and lacking in bedside manner. Brought my dog here and he died due to neglect and greed. Operated on him with proof of a collapsed lung. Why? Why would a good doctor do that? $$$$$$$ that is why. GREED a special place in hell awaits them.

i can't say anything about the vets I am sure they are great - I left another place and decided to go here for second opinion our dogs neck was swollen and we would worry it would worsen during the night and it was after 6 . The ethics of the staff is questionable and they were rude and not empathetic . Very bad in medical care for your pet. Try to say my dog had cancer in her leg that it need to be cut off before doing any testing I told Dr. Rose before she makes any decisions. Please do some testing and she agreed came back in the room told me she loves the challenge. She told me she had good and bad news. Good news she has an infection in her high heel, which I knew that already she had a small boil on the back of her leg. She said oh the bad news I gotta give her medication. I brought my very sick guinea pig here on a recommendation. I felt that everything was very cold. Nothing was done in front of me. They wanted to put a feeding tube in my guinea pig and wanted to charge me astronomical prices. I wish I never brought my guinea pig here at all.

There is a special place in hell for people who run these factories preying on people who bring pets needing care. Spent all day sitting in a small room and at end of 5 hours was told nothing was done for my pets pain. Nothing. The only thing I was given was an estimate for $8000 and an office visit bill for almost $300. Was told a follow-up call from a surgeon would be next day and days later no call. This vet is the biggest scam going. Reminder that just because it is a veterinary facility it does not mean that the people working there like animals. Edith Karopet is a horrible excuse of a human . I asked her to just clean my dogs ears to which her response was thr dog needed to be put under for that and it was their procedure when cleaning ears. They killed our dog. They push surgeries and procedures for the money. They don't explain risks and don't even tell you the results of bad blood work. dr loughin should have her license revoked and this place should be shut down. Oh, they don't give a damn when your dog dies either.

One of the most inhumane, egotistic cash cows of an organization I have ever had the chance of meeting. They push services in people's greatest time of need of thousands of dollars. They also provide services like scans and ultrasounds, knowing that when you go somewhere for treatment, they will need to be done again. They prefer and ask you to pay cash, like seriously.
