All good things to say about Dr. Sapienza. My kitty needed eye surgery and he did a fabulous job. She is doing very well. The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because they were under construction and I could not go inside. Dr Sapienza came out to meet me at her consultation visit, which I greatly appreciated. Cassandra his assistant was extremely nice and really seemed to give my kitty the best care. The staff all seemed nice, but I got the feeling they are a bit overworked. LIVS has a professional and friendly staff. They are extremely responsive and almost always can see my pet even at the last minute. Dr Selmer and his team are fantastic. My 5 year old Black Lab has had stomach problems since a puppy and no one could tell me what was wrong with her or how to fix it. Instead they would just give me antibiotics to treat the symptoms when they flared up. I was dealing with a 6 month mini bernedoodle puppy who wouldn't walk or jump and hopped around like a bunny. What I thought was an adorable quirk turned out to be the start of a horror story--he did it because he was in horrible pain. Something was very wrong. Our cat was back and forth to our local vet for vomiting and poor appetite for a week when they finally discovered a mass in her intestine and referred us to LI Vet Specialists. LI Vet Specialists fit her in right away with an appointment and ended up performing emergency surgery on her that day. She had to remain there for 3 nights for monitoring. Dr. Selmer of the integrative care dept. has provided quality, unmatched care for my dog CoCo. To say our experience has literally been Life changing, is an understatement. She has always been a bit apprehensive at the vet but yet with him and his staff she goes in with ease and seems to look forward to her treatments. Our frenchie suddenly couldn't use his hind legs. We were recommended to Dr. Selmer and we are so glad! It's 4 weeks later and with the help of acupuncture and laser therapy our boy is doing great! Highly recommend Dr. Selmer!!

My dog went in for testing and the doctor prescriped drugs before getting the test results. Initially thought that was a mistake but it turns out it was difficult to get a detailed diagnosis and the Vet continued testing to pinpoint the issue. My experience is they were thorough , continued investigating and were able to pin point the issues.

I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had to share my experience with LIVS after reading all of the poor reviews. My cat needed eye surgery for a condition called entropion where his bottom eyelids kept rolling inward causing the fur to constantly lay in his eyes. My vet referred us to LIVS to see the cat ophthalmologist. The COVID restrictions were not terrible, they took my cat from my car into the facility for a consultation.
