I don't know why there are negative reviews. I am not from the area but ended up going after I was visiting family in the area and my dog was not being himself and I didn't want to wait to go back home for him to visit our vet. What we thought would be a few hour visit turned into my dog staying for 8 days. He needed surgery and Dr. Holdsworth and staff at LIVS made us feel better with their open communication (calls, emails, photos of our dog sent to us) and walking us through the surgery process. My dog was on the brink of dying and Dr. Golden saved her. She was honest, upfront and calm while remaining compassionate. She called me back when she said she would and was always patient with my concerns and questions. It was tough go for Bella for a while, but I always felt she was in the best hands with Dr. Golden. I trust her wholeheartedly. The staff at LIVS has always been warm and friendly and clearly love their jobs. I would recommend Dr. Golden and LIVS without any hesitation.

After a tragic accident with my 3 week old kitten, I rushed him to LIVS. I had an extremely negative experience with other emergency vets, but I really had no choice but to bring him here to a specialist who could handle a neonate. Immediately, Luca was taken into their care, I received a fast estimate (it was hefty, but you get what you pay for), and I had an idea of the process to follow. My cat basil ate a toxic plant. He is my entire world, and this emergency vet took such good care of him and I got my baby back. The reviews do this place no justice. They answered all of my calls, kept me in the loop, remained kind and caring. You can tell they do what they do because they love animals and they do everything in their power to save and help every animal they can. I can't thank this place enough for helping my baby boy and being kind and considerate to me in the process.

I had an emergency with my cat and took him to Long Island Veterinary Specialists. Everyone was so nice and helpful! From Rita who checked me in on the phone to Tasha and Jackie who helped with him while being examined by Dr. ROBERT EISEMANN. Dr. Eisemann was WONDERFUL! He was very thorough and helpful. He made sure I understood and was able to put me at ease. He took the time to explain what was done and what I needed to do to follow up on for his care. We were referred to LIVS by our local Vet. He was spot on! In three visits to this massive facility, we were handle with compassion, professionalism and most of all kindness. Dr Tumulty gave us some bad news, guided us to a treatment that could work and was truthful about the possible outcomes. But most of all, we were fortunate to deal with Dr Edith Karapet. I have been using LIVS for multiple issues over the past years. Dr. Sapienza saved my bulldog's eye when she scratched it rough-housing in the bushes. Dr. Roynard (Board Certified Neurologist) treated Stella my bulldog for an inner ear infection that no other vet could diagnose. Saved my little girl! Lastly (but not least) Dr. Selmer is currently treating my Frenchie Lucee for a back injury. After only 2 treatments Lucee no longer cries in pain. Dr. Selmer is a miracle doctor! My French Bulldog suffered from terrible skin rashes that would cover her entire underbody for 3 years. She was constantly at the Vet getting antibiotics for skin infections as well as trying every type of antihistamine and nothing worked. Her rashes continued to come back and cause more skin infections. She was constantly uncomfortable and It was so frustrating that we couldn't help her. Dr Kim is a dog Opthamologist genius. She has saved two of my Japanese Chins eyes, one recently. Rei-Rei got disinfectant in her eye and was in extreme pain. Dr. Kim gave the dog three meds and in a few days her eye went from tight- shut to brightly open. Dr Kim is intelligent, talented, intuitive and empathetic. I adore her. Faith Popcorn
