Lumio is the worst company I've ever delta with. My system was installed 6 months ago and is still not operating. The panels were installed prior to the local electric *** approving the plans. I have had several corrections after spending hours on the phone each time. Yesterday I was notified they would be at the house between 2 and 3, to fix the latest problem. They never showed. At 5, I got a text saying the project was completed. NOTHING was done at the house and the inspectors discrepancy note is still in the meter box. ... read more

Dear Better Business Bureau,This company has become less than transparent. In short, I engaged their presentation on Solar Energy panels on the roof of our residence, entertained an extended presentation per information and explanations including questions asked and provided by the agent, as well as my presenting a viable credit card. My panels stopped communicating back in May. Every time I turn in a request for a technician to come out, its takes about 3 weeks to a month to get one. I have had 3 techs so far. Each of them with their own theory as to whats wrong (mostly saying they found a loose wire somewhere). They get them up and running before they leave, but by the end of the day.. theyre back out again. So now Im waiting for them to schedule me a 4th tech. I saw an ad for them hiring for workers, I applied was told that we were going to do a zoom interview not being told that it was really a group zoom interview where they don't even ask us any questions they try and sell us on how much money we're going to make selling the product. Then gives his phone number and says if you're still interested text this phone number. Awful merger/acquisition company. I had AKE in ******** and needed a new roof due to hail damage. They took all the money, ********* plus for the retro/(take off-put back on) for our panels and a week later my wife was told they could not get a crew out to do the retro at all and they were backing out of all uninstall/reinstall work for AKE panels, etc. Now we are being told that we have to wait 3-4 months on the refund of ********* plus for the retro work. When installed, 17 of 32 panels were inoperable for 1st year. When supposedly repaired, I called for a system check and when done, I was told I would be getting ************************************** to correct panel shortage, which was the original problem. I had waited on these panels for 2 years, with excuse after excuse, when notified of Lumio's company takeover. LUMIO is an unethical business. They have not paid my installer even though the signed contract was signed on Sept. of 2022. My system was finally turned on and started production in Dec. 2022. I noticed my system (microinverters not communicating or showing production) on August 30, 2023 after receiving my weekly energy useage from my electric company. I have reported problem 3 times. Deceitful and dishonest sales practices. Lumio is NOT looking out for you as a customer and is instead engaging in "gotcha!" sales practices. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING THIS COMPANY IS OFFERING YOU!In hindsight, I should've known that it wasn't a good idea to trust people going door-to-door when our subdivision has a clear "no soliciting" notice at the entrance.Do your research!This company charged us nearly twice the average rate per W/kWh and that was after "a veteran and teacher's discount." I love having solar and really advertised the benefits of going solar. I recently had hail damage in June 2023 in ********** **. Me and about 30+ neighbors. I turned this into my insurance company TRAVELERS that really truly did exceptional! Everything we going excellent until I contacted Lumio the solar panel company! Everything that can go wrong did.
