Would NOT recommend using this company for solar panels. Their explanation of the way the system works and the experience we have had so far isnt at all what we have experienced. During the signing, their salesman, *****, told ** exactly how to answer the questions during a phone confirmation following the signing. There were two salespeople and they were so friendly and seemed to have our best interest in mind. My experience with Lumio is a poor one. The bet was the system would produce %90 of the electricity that my household consumes and that would offset my bill so that the minimum bill plus the loan payment would be a break even sum. Definitely not the case. Secondly, if the power is out from the grid the system turns off so after a hurricane you are still without power even during the day. Prior to signing on with Lumio, I read some of the concerns expressed here and thought "that couldn't happen to me". I was wrong!Lumio was a total disaster to work with. They were extremely disorganized - if I hadn't stayed on top of them continuously, they may *never* have gotten the inspection done.Beginning three weeks after panels went on our roof, I called inquiring about status of inspection. We had our panels installed about three months agoI say installed..not hooked up. Since that time we have had three different people take photos of our house but thats it. We have reached out to several individuals whose names we were given as contacts. Most of those have not returned our calls/Texs/or emails a few have with no clear solution. Worst mistake I ever made. The sales person basically lied fed me a bunch of BS. Convinced me to switch solar companies by agreeing with emails saying promised by Lumio about covering interest for first 5 years and warranty terms. Lumio basically said those are unrealistic terms. Even though the previous company offered the same. They told me he doesnt work for ** anymore. So basically SOL. Also the system they put on isnt near big enough to cover my month average usage. Beware to potential buyers of a rooftop solar system from Lumio!We recently had a deceitful experience with the sales tactics utilized by a sales employee from this company. After doing a brief tour of the property, we sat down for a conversation on the proposal for cost and other material concerns before comparing it with other plans.He recommended signing a contract and getting a system installed ASAP to lock-in both the federal tax credit. I have been waiting a year now for them to fix and install more panels to my solar system. They never call you back. They are better responding by email but not much. I always get told they will have to reach out to a different department when I call. Someone will call me back. No one has called me back yet. I've always had to call them again. It's really frustrating when you've paid them and they won't fix the problem they caused.

We told the salesman that we needed to replace the roof before moving forward. This company gave us a a bad vibe, so we told them no thanks. Now they wont stop calling using high pressure tactics threatening to charge us $3500 for cancellation. They lied saying they paid for permits. (we both worked for our city and know they only require permits for new construction that change SQ/Footage) then they said they ordered the materials. I bought solar panel from Lumio in March. When their sales rep came to sell their product, after I told him the price was too high, he agreed to reduce the price and, he wrote to me that if I sign up with their security bundle, I will get a rebate check for the monitor fee three weeks after installation. Then of course, the real contract never mentioned the reduced price and the rebate check. I protested to the attorney general in **, and they agreed to the price we initially agreed upon.
