Just had a visit from a Lumio sales rep today. Advised me that due to my usage, size of home, etc. their system would reduce my monthly FPL bill to $0, and I would be able sell electricity back to the grid. Sales rep did not advise that FPL has a minimum monthly charge of $8.99 and a "Minimum Base Bill" of $25 for customers who use less than $25 of electricity per month. We had our solar panels installed late fall, 2022. Installation was smooth, but after that, customer service went down hill. I've noticed how previous comments about 'sales pitch' went downhill. That happened to us. After taking 2/3 weeks to get panels hooked up by power company, which they did online, didn't require someone physically to come to our home, lack of communication between these 2 companies! I started the process of getting solar panels for my home. I told the sales rep that if I needed a new roof I would be unable to go through with the solar panels as I could not afford both. I pit a 10k down payment and canceled the contract on Feb 22nd as I did end up needing a new roof. Once I started the cancelation I was treated as garbage. No calls from anyone. No contact. If I could give them one star I would because it has been a complete nightmare dealing with this company! They cause damage to your roof and then claim its not their problem to have it fixed, they also like to ghost you with the response your issue is being escalated. Months go by without a word or a person to come and look at the damage. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Should have stopped the sales pitch the first time he tried to talk us out of a battery, even though we have done extensive research on what we want. ******* became extremely aggressive when we didnt sign up on the spot. A solicitor wearing a Lumio shirt came knocking on my door. When my child answered, thinking it was his little friend who we were expecting, the strange man asked my child to go get me. I have done nothing to indicate interest in solar. I don't want to be disturbed unexpectedly in my own house by someone selling something I don't want. Leave us alone. Going door to door harassing families is unacceptable.

These guys are absolutely unprofessional from start to finish. Yeah they say whatever they have to to get you to sign, but when it comes to connect the panels, they cant be reachedever. Yet I still have to pay an electric bill and financing bills. Not to mention when the panels were being installed, their crew was completely unprofessional and down right careless. Was lied to on the amount I would get back as refund on my taxes. I had no tax liability so I shouldve gotten back between ****** to ******. This amount I would pay towards the loan for the panels.

DO NOT BUY SOLAR FROM THESE GUYS. They sold us a bill of lies talking up the savings and benefits of going Solar. First, since we have had the panels installed, we have never had a $0 or negative electric bill. The whole idea of getting a credit with your electric company is a lie too. Electric companys have figured out that *******, and now give you credit, but not payable. It just gives you the credit, and should you ever leave/move, you lose the credit.
