We have had solar panels on our roof for well over a year and panels still have not been activated. Oh but God for bid that you miss a payment and mind you that this entire time we are having to pay two electric bills. One to our actual electric company and to Lumio. At first it was great. Our sales guy connected ** with ******* who would be handling everything from then on. Initially he was very informative and answered all of our questions. But as soon as we signed the contract it became harder and harder to get a response from him. Now it's been over a month and absolutely no response from him. Lumio apparently bought Smart Energy Today, who were the original installers of our system, in Jan 2018. I have had a couple of issues with modules/ panel go dead since. Smart Energy were easy to get a hold of and responded quickly. Lumio cant even find our information. Their support, if you can even get ahold of them, know little and offer little to move forward to repair/replace my panels that have been down for weeks now. They take advantage of people and have their sales reps lie to you about a federal tax credit if 10 to 15 grand back in taxes thats you can put towards the cost of your solar loan. I got absolutely nothing. And I filled out the correct tax form with hr block. The tax prep lady stated they lie about this all the time and its absolutely not true. I have had my solar panels installed since June 2022 and yet to have any working panels. I have called numerous times to get a status and just keep getting told my case manager is busy. I have been told my inspection has failed 3 times and no one has come out to make corrections. At this point, I just want the company to come get their panels off my roof. I am still making payment on the loan and I don't think it's fair. They have no sense of urgency now that they have made their sale. It is very difficult to get any positiv... read more
It's been 4 months and still not hooked up. Emailed several times and no answers. Keep getting the runaround with we'll try to get there this week and so on. The issue I see here is the finance company pays them shortly after they install the panels, but they don't require them to actually work. So to the finance company, don't expect my payment anytime soon, I'll wait until they work.
This review is not meant to reflect on the service that was provided by ***********************. Our original sales consultant mislead us about the tax credit we were going to get, making it sound like going solar would issue us a large refund that we could apply to our loan to lower the payments. My parents were also promised a referral bonus of $500 for getting solar installed at their residence, and then referring Lumio to us to get solar installed. This company has been horrible since after signing the paperwork. We decided to go with them, because their contact was local, and that mistake is on us. The not showing up for any appointments, never being on time, not having the system GROUNDED, and leaving our solar electric box not waterproofed is on them. We signed up in March of 2022 to get the system, our system was installed November of 2022 and end of January 2023, we are still not turned on.

My experience with Lumio has been stressful and I regret hiring them as my solar installers.Installation of the panels themselves went relatively smooth. The work was done efficiently so I'm not complaining.Next came the replacement of our electric panel. A three person crew came but it seemed they left one guy to do most of the work and he didn't know what he was doing.
