Excellent care home with brilliant caring staff. Every member of the team is exceptional. When Mum moved in she quickly settled and after just a short time referred to Merlewood as home. Whenever we visit we too are made to feel welcome and nothing is too much for the staff. Mum has had her ups and downs and the staff have liaised with outside agencies to ensure that her excellent care has continued.

I was at Merlewood for 3 weeks after being in hospital. I found the staff and physio etc very helpful for condition I was in, and was able to return home back on my feet after encouragement and physio.

Having looked at more than 10 care homes, I chose Merlewood for my mother. Best decision I could have made. The accommodation was lovely, clean and more than adequate. All the staff were polite, caring and made my mum feel at home. She was so well looked after, which took a lot of pressure off me. I would highly recommend Merlewood to anyone considering care for their elderly family members, out of ten.

I would like to say how happy we are with the care and support given to mum and us from all the staff. We receive a friendly welcome each visit, and all the different teams are always happy to help. We are very pleased with all aspects of mums care, especially with the transition to nursing care, the staff explained everything and we can see how settled she is. Thank you Merlewood.

From when my mother first went to Merlewood until she passed away, she was looked after very well. The staff were very approachable and helpful, and always kept me up to date with anything to do with my mother, which I was very grateful for. Many thanks to all the staff at Merlewood.

From when you arrive into the reception area it has a feeling of warmth, this comes from the staff and the residents do seem happy. The nursing staff are very helpful and you can always get to talk to them easily. The food is nicely served by staff that are happy to bring the food when required. All in all a very lovely nursing home. It's very clean and doesn't have any funny smells.

From calling up to enquiries and from my father in law coming into the home its been 5 **** The staff are friendly and welcoming The care my father in law is receiving is fabulous The home is spotless and smells lovely his room is cleaned and tidied every day I highly recommend this home

A great find - Being responsible for organizing the care for a family member is a tough one when you have no experience of the care system. From the moment I contacted Debi and her team they couldn't have been more helpful - I was super impressed with the timely responses and above all the sense of care. This made the while process so much easier. I visited and my care is now in a lovely room with the most delightful staff, and a very impressive food offer, it has made a difficult situation so much easier with their help.

Our mum was a resident at Merlewood for 3 1/2 years and we are so pleased that we found such a wonderful care home. Many of the staff are long serving and that continuity is so vital when you are elderly. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained and accessible by wheelchair. Management are available and always respond quickly to queries. The cleaners work tirelessly to maintain very high standards in residents rooms and communal areas and are always polite and cheerful.
