I've had two large portfolio refinance/mortgages with Metro Credit Union. Both refinances were originally handled by Lucas Ross. I recently had several mortgage servicing questions regarding Metro Credit Union's home owners insurance requirements as I was about to switch home owners insurance providers. I contacted Lucas with my questions and he forwarded them to Marc Sinibaldi who works in mortgage servicing. First year with them having an auto loan was fine. Was able to set up automated payments from my bank and they went through regularly. Then comes October 2020 with the changing of their online banking system. Worked with a rep for about an hour to set up my bank account for auto-payments again since all of my prior information had been purged. Pissed is an understatement! I've been with them since I was a teenager so a little over 15 years. They were a GREAT credit union where they treated you like family but now... ever since they started accepting anyone into the credit union and especially after rolling out their new "online/app" features, it's gone so far downhill. My checks aren't easily deposited anymore, rejected for no reason, can't access the app, speaking to a rep is difficult because you go through one rep to the next. I would never use this bank again. They updated their online banking which does not work! It doesn't allow to make payments and payments become overdue. I tried to get a loan elsewhere and was told I had a home equity loan with Metro that was closed in 2015 but they never updated their records. If you want to speak with someone, be prepared to be on hold up 2 hours ( I was on hold last Friday for 1 hour, 47 minutes! Their mortgage rates could be .5% and I would still go elsewhere!

I've been a member for about 12 years because it came through a job I had. The no-ATM-fees (anywhere, ever) is the best thing about this place. I can't speak to loans as I never took one from here. But the online/app/distant ATM experience has been increasingly frustrating for the last year or two. "Upgrade" should always be used in quotation marks no matter the business, but the bugs are ridiculous and this time around there's been no response to two requests to fix things. Never in my life have I had so much trouble trying to pay a bill to a credit union. It has been an absolute nightmare for the last 3-weeks and I still cannot get a straight answer from them. I mailed a check that they "didn't receive" even though the envelope I used was pre-addressed by them and paid to cancel it. Awful, just awful...I have been trying to get in touch with them for at least two weeks in reference to my Christmas club account I have with them for many years through my employer, after finally getting through I was informed they took my Christmas club and made the decision to deposit into another account I have with them, who are they to decide where my money goes? DO NOT USE METRO CTEDIT UNION!! Their two star rating is truly a two star rating.

Have you ever very heard of a bank who doesn't answer their phones?? I mailed my car payment out two weeks ago. It still has not been cashed. I have a feeling it is sitting in their office. To be on the safe side, I did a stop payment on the check. Just in case, it was lost in the mail. I called to do a payment over the phone. They do not answer their phones!!! They have one phone number for ALL their locations!! Awful service!!

Today is OCT19th....their online banking is still down....all the negative reviews are true....they missed their own deadline...facts are facts! "We're building a new experience that will transform the way you bank with us! Online Banking will be unavailable starting at 6:00pm 10/09 until 8:30am 10/13"
