Of course I'm late to the party. I've heard really good reviews on behalf of this bank word of mouth. All was good until they updated their system. Online banking unavailable for the weekend while the system got updated, of course the update continues into Tuesday and still can't get in. Several phone calls placed where the call was disconnected and when you finally get someone " they can't assist, they only handle locked out account and will escalate to a supervisor which then comes back to " nobody is picking up the li... read more

Worst bank ever, I would rather put my money under my mattress in an old home in the woods in California then leave my money with these people. Ever since they took over our credit union it's been nothing but a pain in the ass dealing with these people. Their customer service is horrible and needs a whole new look. This bank sucks

No one takes responsibility in this bank. I have been trying to get a service done. On hold for hours on call center. You ask for call back and they hang up. I finally spoke to someone and they gave me the wrong information. I asked for a supervisor. No call back.

Have had nothing but problems since financing our car thru Metro in May 2020. Inept processing of paperwork, lack of knowledgeable customer service reps, when you can actually reach someone. Have spent over 2 hours, and 8 calls to them, and still no results! Should have stayed with DCU but was persuaded with a slightly better rate at dealer. They are def. Getting kickbacks!

Please don't bank with Metro Credit Union. I opened an account with then just to have as back up and was told by several Metro Credit Union employees, including a manager, that I wasn't going to be charged any fees for not using it. 2 months later I'm charged $13 for inactivity. I've tried calling them on many different occasions to resolve this however, I'm left waiting to speak to someone for HOURS for them to eventually hang up as soon as I get someone live. I honestly wish I could give Metro Credit Union in General 0 Stars. Their Collections department/ Customer service is horrible. I went through Metro CU for my first Auto Loan which I have been doing just fine with making on time payments. My first payment had to be a mailed money order; I also called the phone number and extension line they provided in the documents I received after financing through them. I had asked them if there was away I could pay over the phone or if they can take out an auto payments from my bank acc... read more

I would urge everyone away from Metro Credit Union. I have never had an experience with any other bank like I've had with them. I only used them because they partnered with Cambridge Honda on car loans. For years, no problem until my loan was paid off. That's when the trouble started and I'm now 10 months into a fight with them to get them to stop taking monthly payments out for the car that I owe nothing on now. This Bank! So, if you're using investment apps and tend to move money around a lot due to this or any other reasons, this is NOT the bank for you. On top of it's horrible and often contradictory service you'd get from each agent you speak with, this bank literally LIES to you. For those familiar with the Acorns app, there are Roundup transactions and your regularly set, weekly investment transactions that occur. Extreme wait on recorded lines. Pathetic. Online banking is routinely down. Online banking app is routinely down. Down as in for long periods of time. The app is dated and has limited features as if you were living in the 90s, that's if the app actually functions. To read the reviews that say the same song and dance, it makes you wonder why we let these 3rd graders handle our money when they can't get a grip on current BASIC technology.
