USELESS PRINTER Never buy this Brother printer. ITs barely 6 months since i pusrchased. Always keeps jamming the paper
Bad Brother Experience The printer apparently arrived damaged internally since setup resulted in an error message. Ours is a family of 'geeks' so we know HW and SW setup. Perused the online videos to resolve; sadly Brother clumps their videos into groups, so no resolution for our model. Chat session with Brother ended when the rep seemed to just drop off. Called Brother Customer Support only to be put on hold for ~10 minutes then the call dropped. Returned the product since Brother was not supportive in any fashion.
Dry up if not frequently used Ink do not last, was hoping to last but since I only print now and then, the black ink dry up and waste paper, deep cleaning and back to the same, wate of money.
First and last time I will buy a Brother printer - horrible installation process I have worked in IT for 20+ years. I am not technical, but I am totally capable of installing a printer! After buying Canon printers for years, I decided to switch to a different brand with fewer ink tanks to fill. Brother seemed to fit the bill, and they got pretty good reviews overall, but this was the absolutely worst installation process I have ever been through. Ink heads have dried out I bought this Brother printer about 9 months ago, well into the pandemic. The concept is great: huge wells of ink within the cartridges. The cartridges are huge and should have lasted thousands of copies. I use the printer infrequently, sometimes going for a week without printing. The ink heads have dried out, and now the printouts are barely readable. I remove the cartridge and can see 90% of the ink just sloshing around inside. I don't know how to revive it. Wrong printer I bought the wrong printer
Not a good choice Alright. We have a B/W Brother and it works great so to replace my old color printer I went with this.. The Print quality is marginal and was from the start, and setting up the parameters took ages. I have had it less than a year. 6 months, and it constantly jams, just feeds paper through instead of printing and now has lines in the print when it DOES spit one out... Patience with head cleaning. May require more passes than recommended to get printer ink flowing. Tech support from Vendor not helpful. New litle about this printer and of course Amazon could not help b/c it shipped from third party vendor. On the day it arrived, the iinstall/set-up went OK. However, ink quality was illegible even usung black. I performed all the tests and cleaned print heads (4 X) No change.
