Awful Horrible painful set up. Just that reason alone I don’t recommend it. Every time I tried setting it up I got error message saying “Failed to decompress the archive”. Tech support was no help and I felt completely rushed while chatting with them. I will never again buy a Brother product. Save your money and your sanity. Not worth it!
STOPPED WORKING AFTER A FEW MONTHS Liked the print, it was fast enough, and then after a few months, it went "off line." All efforts to get it back on-line failed. Then I bought an ethernet cable to wire it instead of it being wireless. It printed one document, and now does not work at all. A piece of garbage.
Junk 1. It doesn't support chromebooks. There's a workaround, but this is the only brand of printer that won't work natively. 2. All of a sudden the printer can't be seen by any device on the network. So, after a few months, it's just a brick.
Great when working. I have had this printer for 2 months and I am happy it when it is working. The printer has had various issues with maintaining the wireless connection. I changed wireless providers last month for unrelated reasons and there was no change. It has finally lost the ability to connect completely. I have tried rebooting the network, rebooting the printer, reloading the software. Nothing. WANTS TO UPDATE ALL THE TIME Tried printing a picture Looks terrible HP did a much better job however HP does not last at all Went thru 2 printers costing over $400 and printed a whopping 2800 pages total So Brother it is NOPE Couldn't get it to print a 4x5 correctly It wants to print actual size (Fit to print didnt work either) Went by reviews THAY ARE ALL JUNK but this does have high ratings go figure
NOT an ECO TANK - DON'T Let the name confuse you I bought this printer, of course the name "Tank" in the name made me think it was an eco tank. It says printing for up to 2 years so the branding and advertising was also very similar to the eco tank advertising. It says you can print up to 150 pages a month and have it last. Really, really slow I was looking for a printer that I could use for business - mostly printing documents - and spent a little extra money so that I could use it to print photos for art projects. The photo quality is okay but not stellar, but this is by far the slowest printer I have ever used. You will wait a long time for plain black and white pages, and longer for color. Not As Advertised Won't work with a cable. Took 3 attempts to load the software and then it didn't work with both the rooter and the cable. What the good is it when internet service is down? That is why I bought it as it supposed did both!
Very Noisy Excellent color print, but VERY noisy when printing; much more noisy than my older similar brother printer.
