Not compatible with new Mac computers!!! Anyone that owns A newer Mac do not buy this printer it is not compatible and will not download the brother printer control center software.
WILL NOT PRINT FROM a XP PRO 32 Spent the best of 3 days with manuals and phone helpers at Brother to no gain. If you have an Android it may be great but from my basic PC it never printed a single anything. The say they have things to fix up the XP problem but none of worked with my PC and it has worked to the end of the life of 4 other printers for me. The FAX mode might work but 1 don't. Who needs a fax these days? It would copy and scan and it could print but not from my PC!
Short time to fail It's look a good product, maybe I wasn't lucky in my case. After almost 4 moths of shy use. One day without using appears UNABLE TO PRINT 50 ERROR, after follow printer instructions and technical investigation. The main board it's damaged!
Fustrated User It prints great, when it prints. It prints slow. Right now I can’t even get it to print it’s connected to the WiFi I haven’t figured out what the issue is. I rarely use it. There’s no jams or anything just not printing. It often says its offline and will not print, Its connected to the Wifi and still will not print. If anyone can tell me where to start would be great. I would not recommend this printer to anyone. I wish I would have listen to the reviews....
Not a years worth of ink. Only lasted 3 minths The ink was supposed to last for a year & it only lasted 3 months so disappointed with that.
Never buying Epson again, Im a Brother Convert! Update 1/2021 Update: Jan 2021 I've had this printer for almost a year now, and think so highly of it I wanted to update my review. Slow, slow, and only fair quality printing. This printer is extremely slow, and the printing quality is fair at best. I have had much cheaper HP printers that were significantly faster, and provided better printing results. That said, the printing is ok for everyday home use, but I had expected much better results when I paid twice as much money than previous printers. I don't know yet if I will save much on ink purchases, but I just can't recommend this for what it costs.
Scanning is nearly impossible, and WiFi connection very unreliable This printer sometimes works over wifi, but it is very unreliable. Prints go about 1/2 the time, and various scanning software packages, including Windows' Scan and Fax, and VueScan, can't connect about half the time. Using the Brother software requires about a Gig of crapware download.
Won't print shipping labels This printer has the worst time printing on anything OTHER than plain paper. Completely unable to get it to print shipping labels. Not worth the money. My $27 walmart special does a much better job.
