Customer service is horrible the 1st time I called Brother was closed The fax works but only if you are present to receive it manually! Air print is nonexistent! Customer service is horrible the 1st time I called Brother was closed, redirected to India who wanted $199.00 to fix the problem with the fax. It turns out there is no problem just the brilliant design. I finally reached Brother after holding for 45 minutes no satisfaction forthcoming. WARNING do not buy Brother products.

That's just not true about the fax. I just set this printer up for a friend today. There are 4 different fax receive modes. It sounds like you have it set for manual mode. It's all in the manual.
Used as directed, ink will not last up to two years. Advertising states the printer comes with up to two years of ink but the three sets last up to six months before drying out. That's a year and a half, not two years. Instruction sheet directs to insert starter cartridges but there were none and packaging doesn't indicate any were to be included. Good product, I would give a 5 star if ... Good product, I would give a 5 star if not get disconnected so often of the Wi-Fi. Had to reboot printer everything it happens or setup the network setting again.
Very misleading, or missing accessories. Printer itself is awesome, but I bought this one also beccaue it stated. It came with three full array of the colored ink cartridges as well. It did not. I went to staples to buy the ink. On the box it shows $137 in value of included ink. I checked for coupons, nothing. It looks like the empty spot where there was in was missing. This printer does not print labels without an excruciating work-around. When I purchased this printer I was impressed by the ink supply and cost compared to my old HP. I was tired of buying ink (up to $80 every two months) and this Brother printer was offering me a different approach to buying ink. I am now debating buying a cheap (with super expensive ink) HP just to print labels, which as a teacher, I need to print once a week. Color printing is very pale I thought I would really like this and I would if I didn't need to print colors... the color printing is very pale/faded despite changing the settings and trying different paper. I returned it because I really needed a printer that would print brighter colors. What a shame... I had such high hopes and I am sad to have to return it. The stop sign on top is from my cheap Canon printer and the one on the bottom is from the Brother printer.
Worked at first Now it just says "no pc found on the network". It worked right after installation but that's it. Now I have to reinstall the software on my computer every time I want to scan something.
