Uses more toner than advertised Brother advertises 2500 page at the standard 5% page coverage as per the ISO/IEC 19752. Ran out of toner at 1275 pages at an average 8.35% coverage for the life of this toner. I got less than half of the advertised pages despite not having double the page coverage. I completely understand that at 8.35% coverage I wouldn't reached 2600 pages. However, I should've been able to print a lot more than 1275 pages. Please beware when purchasing this toner and brother printers in general.
product Product only lasted for one year , drum error keep coming on to replace drum after 2 months , hardly used it . called service 3 times in that year and each one fixed it for a day and then went back to doing the same thing.
I just quit working after a year and a half. Only option was to find a repair technician. I had an issue earlier in the week trying to hook up a bluetooth printer (that had already been hooked up for over a year). I took the printer to a meeting with me and when I got back, had issues getting reconnected to the wifi. After 2 hours on the phone with a rep, she sent me instructions but before I even got them, I fixed it myself. Now today, one week later, I'm getting an Out of Memory when I try to print. Holding up well. I will never go back to an ink jet printer. Why did it take me so long? Even tho I purchased an extra, the starter cartridge is still going strong. Did I say, I will never go back to an ink jet printer?

Line appears Over all scans I've had Brother machines for years and they have been for the most part, very reliable. In this instance, after not loo long from purchase there's a problem with the scanner. Two black lines appear on all scans/faxes etc. This is for both the flathead and document feeder scans. Wouldn't recommend this model
Printer failed in just over 1 year...black streaks and gray shading covered every print I bought this b/w laser printer for financial and business purposes. It had a large capacity paper and print cartridge. The print cartridge began showing black lines within 1 month of use. It was cleaned and reloaded several times. Does not last We bought this machine in June of 2017. It worked fine until it didn't and now the choice is to pay $160 to fix it or $210 to replace it. Given the fact that this machine was used for light duty faxing it should have lasted much, much longer.
Broken after 1 year of use. The screen has gone out so we cannot make copies, scan items etc.. Paper gets jammed in the tray about one of every 3 times we print. The times it does not get jammed it comes out wrinkled because it almost got jammed.
