Does not print when 1st low ink warning. Does not print when low ink. No way to cancel low ink warning. You must replace the cartridge at first low ink warning. With other machines you can still print a few (50-100) pages after low ink warning.
Visual noise in all scans I've had this order for less than a year, and the scanner is inserting visual noise into every scan. I can't find information about it on the internet, on Brother's website, or via Brother support. I've included an image. Also, the interface is very finicky - you must enter your choices slowly and deliberately while the thing thinks about its next choice. Since I bought the multi function device for scanning, it's not doing what I want it to do.
Do NOT Buy! I bought this product from another store and it is a piece of crap. I write the review on here as a warning. Software Update available which resolves wireless problems When I purchased this printer I was concerned about the AirPrint/ wireless capabilities due to many negative customer reviews. When I received the printer I had those same issues. However, in August brother released a software update which solved the problem completely. My phone no longer has problems AirPrinting, my computer does not have issues locating the printer wirelessly and the printer can now wake from sleep mode without being restarted. wireless is NOT working! wireless connection stopped working after 2 months! So annoying! Even after re-installing the disk, it stopped working! Not happy at all!
WiFi printing issues ever day now I have a major issue with this printer. I have set ip up via WiFi and I can see if is connected to Wifi but after a few days it would not print from my MacBookPro even if is connected to WiFi. I have to shutdown and restart the printer for it to start printing again. Initially I thought it might be my WiFi or my MacBookPro but after enough testing I found that it is the printer. Great IF you can get it set up Now that I finally have the stupid thing set up it prints and scans quickly and cleanly, but it has taken me the better part of 4 hours of frustration to get to this point. My (actually Brother's) solution for not being able to use the Scan button I installed this MFC in wireless infrastructure mode with an Apple Airport Extreme (5th gen), a homemade desktop PC and HP laptop PC, both PCs running Win7 Pro 64-bit. I also assigned a fixed IP address to the MFC per the Brother instructions.
