Amazon wasted my time having to wait Initially, the scanning and printing was extremely slow for all projects. Then the scanning would stop mid-way with a message stating that the printer was turned off for larger projects, even know the machine was still on. Even after that, it would then give me messages when trying to do a new scan that it needed to wait until the current scan was completed. Junk This thing is garbage. My own wireless nightmare is just starting. Hour with tech support on live chat. No help. A higher level of tech support was supposed to call me, but did not. Computer and Mac will not recognize printer. I have to manually establish a connection every time I want to print wireless. I tried to do a usb connection to PC and the printer will not install. Monochrome Oops, my mistake for ordering this. Not sure how it happened that I did but I needed a full color device, not monochrome.
Ok for home, not good for office. Not happy with this. It is slow. Really slow. Like circa 1994 slow. The low price is great, but the performance is terrible. Stay away from this product if you're going to use it in an office.
Run. Run Far, Run Fast If you are in the market for a $200 paperweight, this is it. Wireless functionality is embarrassingly poor. Printer goes into sleep mode and won't wake for print jobs. Must be either powered down and reset every print job, or manually linked back to the wifi. Even the propriety Brother "Control Center" app states only that the printer is "offline" and has no option for waking it up. AirPrint DOES NOT WORK This printer is good in a lot of ways, but I never never been able to successfully print via AirPrint on my Mac, despite updating firmware and spending 90 minutes on the phone with tech support, during which call they *guaranteed* that their approach would fix my problem. More work required for scan-to-email function I bought this printer for a small office environment. I wanted the printer to be a standalone network printer. Everything worked great until I wanted to use the scan-to-email function. While this printer does have scan-to-email, it's not what I expected. In order to use the scan-to email function that's included with this printer, the machine uses the email program on your PC and opens an email on your PC with the scan as an attachment.
