This place is a hidden gem! I came in this morning and Jonathan at the front desk was a sweetheart. I did the online check-in beforehand and Jonathan got me all set in a matter of moments. I was offered tea, filled out my info on an ipad, and then was shown to an exam room. They have a little tv in there and really cute couches to wait on. Maybe 30 seconds later, Mayra was in to take my vitals, and then Lauren B. came in right after to check me out. He was so kind and made me feel so comfortable. I am very lucky to have found MedSpring urgent center by accident. I just moved to Chicago and fell off my moving truck, and thought I broke my ankle. Im a male so a big baby as most men are, and everyone here made me feel at ease. Luis made my anxiety go from a 10, down to about a 2. THANK YOU Luis !! Then came Cally ! Stopped in to have an injury inspected. Ashley (front desk) was very helpful and willing to deal with my insurance inquiries. I only spoke with Louis (nurse?) briefly but he was nice. Dr. Callie was outstanding--patient in her examination and in answering all my questions, and although we (fortunately) wound up taking no direct intervention steps today, I felt confident in her assessment (as opposed to feeling like I received a blanket recommendation). After my husband had a fun run in with a knife while meal prepping, MedSpring really exceeded our expectations. We hopped in around 7:00pm on a Sunday night, and the wait time was 0 minutes. They quickly had him in the back, filling out paperwork, cleaning out the wound, administering a tetanus shot, and deciding on glue vs stitches. They let you know the max they can charge here after running your insurance, so that's good to note if price is a primary concern. Had a fantastic experience here. Came in with some concerns about a persistently sore wrist after a recent slip and fall. Dr. Lauren is a great guy and clearly knows his stuff. Examined me, gave me the lowdown on the situation, and then we did some x-rays. About an hour later I got a call as promised with x-ray results as determined by two radiologists. Let's face it, going to the doctor is not fun. But today I had the best experience at MedSpring. They have an online waiting room so you don't have to wait for hours while you are sick. The waiting room has free coffee/tea/snacks which is a nice perk especially if you have someone with you. Although those were nice perks, it's the people that made this such a great experience. I don't live in Chicago and came to this location regarding their good reviews. Had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Dr. Lauren. He was incredibly nice and helped me immediately with my illness. I was in and out very fast - just make sure you make an appointment online!
I saw Dr Buckingham. He was great. Listened well and we discussed a few options for care which I appreciated. The entire staff was quick and courteous. I feel so fortunate to have this facility as an option when sick or in pain. Veronica and Dan were fantastic too. This is my second visit to MedSpring and I am a raving fan of their services. Highly recommend.
This place is Nirvana - still haven't fully convinced myself it's real. Came in on a Sunday morning after waking up with an agonizing neck spasm. Front desk staff was helpful and process was extremely fast. Caring nurses, TVs playing HGTV in the tastefully decorated and clean patient rooms and genuine interactions make this place the opposite of what an urgent care experience is typically like.
