We were told on a Wednesday our Mother was being released from a skilled nursing facility on Monday and would not be able to return her own home without 24 hour care. We were in a state of shock and panic. I remembered the commercials “A place for Mom” so I looked up their phone number and starting with that call I was direct to a wonderful Lady who lived in our area! She made me feel so comfortable! Staff is caring and loving. They make it as close to a home environment as possible. Rooms are small, but adequate. Amenities are pretty standard.

I liked that it was a small setting, not a lot of people in one house and home cooked meals. Considerate, caring, attentive staff. Facility is good. Seems to be kept up fairly well.

I liked that it has 15 or less residents per house. It makes it feel very homey. The staff are very helpful and are always ready to answer questions.

Our biggest complaint is the pharmacy they require us to use. Deliveries come from Carrollton and they have made mistakes, such as leaving out a prescription. I think the small house community is better for elderly people who have memory issues or can be overwhelmed by moving around large facilities. Each resident has a private bedroom and bathroom. But that also reduces the activities and space for doing things. The care givers get to know them very well but like all facilities they have a high turn over rate. Mustang Creek... read more

I would recommend to others that need a budget friendly option. It's not a perfect place and employees are disgruntled with management so that makes it difficult at times. Management says they are putting procedures in place to change that but the residents do feel the effects. I would pursue other options if I was able to pay more. We picked them because of the price and it is one mile from my home
First, it was the recommendation of [name removed] with A Place For Mom. Second, I like the homey feel, like the open kitchen and everyone eating around one big table
