I bought a travel policy from ******* (A Nationwide company) on 12/04/2023 for a trip with American Queen ******* on 12/07/2024. Policy # NW0136-03, Certificate # *******.American Queen filed for bankruptcy on 02/2024 & cancelled this trip. Our claim to your company was denied. We then requested a return of our premium paid for this policy, $498, & it also was denied.This policy is not effective until 12/07/2024. It was valid only for the period of 12/07/24 until 12/15/24. We've had Nationwide for a number of years, but this is going to be the last one. One of our cats has had crystals in his urine ages ago which Nationwide treated as a preexisting condition. Fine. But denying a claim for a completely unrelated (as attested to by a veterinarian) UTI just because of an episodic illness that occurred four years ago, treating any further urinary issues as preexisting conditions and then refusing to listen to reason and provide access to decision-makers in order to discuss the issue is unconsciona... read more

Every time I try to go to the website for my insurance the page is blank. Whoever is in charge of their website is obviously incompetent. I will absolutely be switching pet insurances soon and am appalled by this company. Definitely will never go through this company for any insurance needs. My recommendation is 0/10 find somewhere/anywhere else.

I had Nationwide till they kept raising my rates on my mortgage. I am still waiting to get my money back my policy was canceled and have not received my money for over a month now. Very poor customer service you can't speak with anybody they have an automated system that just keeps giving you the runaround and then hangs up on you. My escrow is short now and I got to come up with the money because my other bills are due. What a lie nationwide's on your side the only side there on us for themselves I wouldn't go with them

Nationwide is not on your side. They dropped our pet insurance policies along with 100k others because they care more about money than people and the ones we care about. I asked if they could just move us to a different (more expensive) plan and they said they could, but we would start all over. So everything that has happened to our pets in the 6-7 years weve been with them would now be a preexisting condition. Absolute SCAM of an pet insurance policy. DO NOT GET THEM! Denied EVERY CLAIM. Paid 1200/year for a total of 0 ZERO coverage.
This company is going to knowingly kill tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of animals. Their current policy change will tear families apart and cause people to have to rehome their pet or put them down because they can't afford emergency surgery. Absolutely disgusting.
My parents have been with nationwide for over 20 years and all of a sudden they dropped their policy never made a claim or anything else. They are ripping people off and especially the elderly.. Don’t waste your time or money dealing with this company.

Total SCAM company. They would drop the insurance when pets may need it the most at older age. Started with less than $100/month in 2016, which is now at $213/month for over a year. And now they are dropping my dog's insurance completely. They have scammed me out over $13k for nothing. I wish I had a savings account for my dog, which I am starting now. I hope my dog stays healthy for another 6-8 years.
