Terrible. Quoted me $307.88 only to send me information less than a month later it’s now $453.36. No accidents EVER, no claims EVER, no policy changes at all, nothing. Even hooked up a smart ride that is on track for 30% off. Oddly around the same amount they just raised my premium. Only to spew off some BS about this or that. How these people get away with this is disgusting. It’s criminal. This is literally the definition of bait and switch.

I wish I could give this place negative 'stars' I am not certain if they are totally incompetent, or crooks. I am leaning toward the latter. I have been trying since mid February to get my retirement funds rolled over to my local Credit Union, and have been told multiple different stories each time I've contacted them. First it would be 5-7 days. Then 7 to 14 days. Then, oh, we are understaffed. Two months later, they are still 'working' on getting my portion (principal vs interest) figured out. Stay away from Nationwide auto. They cut our claim short and refused to repair the whole car after accident

Prospective Home Owner Insurance Customers should evade Nationwide Insurance and it's affiliates because they will not help you when you have a community disaster like ours. We had a gushing wind damage that impacted all properties in my community built in 2014. 9 individual homes out of the 12 most impacted homes put in claims and 8 of these house got their roofs replaced but I was initially denied and later called to speak to the supervisor ***** ****** and request to have someone inspect my roof again. Nationwide is not on my dog's side. I have Nationwide dog insurance for my 9 year old dog. I have had this insurance since 2015. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in December 2023. She had her leg amputated and is undergoing chemotherapy. As part of her insurance plan, she has maxed out certain benefits however she has a $2400 "chemotherapy treatment" allowance. Iam extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Nationwide. I applied to close out my retirement fund due to financial hardships caused by medical expenses for my father's cancer treatment, and the representative ***** **** was initially helpful but eventually became unresponsive despite multiple attempts of reaching him via email or phone calls over a span of several weeks. Nationwide is the worst financial service company I have ever done business with. 50 days ago I submitted paperwork to cash in my 401k, with receipt confirmation. Since that time I have contacted them four times, each time getting a different excuse: "our network was down" "we have had a lot of people out sick" "we have a new computer system that everyone is being trained on". I had been with Nationwide for 8yrs, and I considered it a solid company. I had no issues. I even have a bundle. Even when they were unwilling to lower the rates, and charged and extra fee because I didn't have auto withdrawal for my payment, (too many hacks). My car insurance payment was recently missed. It was totally my fault that it was overlooked. I called to see what I need to do to get reinstated. I was told that I didn't have enough 'terms/turns' to be reinstated. Horrible service, I have had home insurance for 5 years and when an issue came up last year they did not help me, always looking for ways to not pay for the damages, not to mention the amount of calls and text where they wouldn’t answer me. Moving to another home insurance company wouldn’t recommend nationwide to anyone.
