We secured property insurance for our 5 plex apartment with Nationwide February 2023. They recently requested evidence of upgrades to electrics, water pipes, roof etc. We sent all this information of a complete refurbishment carried out in 2004, complete with permits where the city would require units to be brought up to code. They ignored the information or couldn't be bothered to read the documents and then said " we were under the impression that the 5 units were in one building and not 4 buildings on one lot! Have home in California insurance been through Nationwide since 2014. No claims made. Got notice of no renewal because claimed roof “bad”. How did they determine that, why of course, through a satellite picture taken from who knows where. Said if roofer certified condition that that would “ go a long way in reinstating us. We’ll, got certified roofer to certify roof in good shape with longevity of 10+ years. ****** ******* Worst Nationwide employee I have ever dealt with. How she is still employed by Nationwide is beyond me. Does everything in her power to screw over the ones that pay her salary and has a voice that just grates at you. Although I do not agree on how Nationwide handled my claim, ****** is the main reason why I am leaving. She is truly a classless act.

Was in an accident where one of their customers was at fault. Submitted a claim almost four weeks ago. They decided my vehicle would be a total loss. Have been in email conversation with the person assigned to my claim. Has been a week and 3 days since I sent my last email. I sent an email to prompt a response after a week. Still nothing. My vehicle is not usable and I have not been offered any provision for that. If I was ever at a point to switch insurance companies, this will not be a choice for me. So I have an emergency for my dog and it cost 3,800. Nationwide paid only $555. these services were done in the Northern Virginia area by a respected *** ***group. Nationwide has limits on what they will pay for each service, for ultrasound the cost was $720 and Nationwide pays $200. and then they ignore all the other costs. I feel like a fool for paying $119 premium for so long and thinking it would help. Waste of money, self insure yourself next time.

Currently going through a claim. It started off well with a lady. Then I got transfer to guy named *** ****. Ever since everything thing has been horrible. No communication, clocks ticking things I need to do and in a two week span I’ve been at a standstill with no direction. I even called in to customer service and they provided no solution.

NO STARS AT ALL! I want to warn other pet owners of my experience with this business. I have a Holland Lop Bunny about 1.5 lbs. (adult size). My bunny will be 5 years old next March. I got ******************** for the bunny because this is the only company in the nation that will offers rabbit health insurance, and they will **** the life out of you!This bunny, luckily, has never had had major issues, only the regular RHD2V vaccine (yearly). Nationwide insurance is a complete rip off, charging outrageous premiums and never paying for claims. They go up on their premiums at a ridiculous rates even if you have not made any claims or had any traffic violations and then when you call for a reason why you never can get a legit reason why they go up. then when you call and cancel, they refuse to give you your money back. We sent an electronic payment to nationwide on September of 2023. The payment apparently did not go through, and they cancelled our insurance without contacting us. They said that they sent an e-mail, but it was never received. And they said they sent a letter, which was also never received. They made little effort to contact us, and let us drive uninsured for a long period of time with no contact. They refused to reinstate our policy, and could not get us a new one.
