Nationwide is inept at handling customers and their issues. Absolutely no way to speak to a live person. They need to return my money and have Absolutely no interest in their reputation. Nationwide falls into a category of "Do Not Use" . You will be disappointed and will regret the day you signed up with them. You have been warned. They will steal your time and money
I made a claim on my roof after a hail storm over a month ago there has been some interior rain damage so I wanted to get moving on the repairs so I had a couple of estimates and chose a contractor to do the job. I have sent numerous inquiries to get an adjustor out to verify the issues so far I have only received computer generated responses We have gotten over 5 inches of rain during this period of time. Phone messages and e-mails made but nothing from Nationwide.

We have been with Nationwide for more than 20 years holding an Umbrella Policy with Auto and Homeowners. No major claims have ever been filed with them on our Homeowners at all in that time. Out of the blue they claimed we have attractive nuisance of yard debris and inoperable vehicles in our yard, so they are going to drop us unless we appeal it by providing photos. I'M NOT ALONE WHEN IT COMES TO BAD REVIEWS. OVER 600 REVIEWS AND A 1.13 RATING. NATIONWIDE IS THE WORST. IF YOU NEED INSURANCE COVERAGE RUN FROM NATIONWIDE. Thought all was good with Nationwide. We have had them for 7 years, no claims on cars or house. They sent "risk assessment" guy out to make sure we were insured for enough and taking advantage of discounts. But then a week late we got a letter saying we needed to fix the fascia on the back of our house and replace our roof due to "curled shingles" or they were not going to renew our policy. If I could give less than one star, I would. The service I received was poor at best and negligent at worst. After a waterline break that flooded my house, the adjuster never responded to repeated emails, calls, or texts, until I found out three weeks later that he had not been negotiating with the remediation company because he was actually away from the office. was in a accident with a nationwide customer and have been waiting for almost a month to have an adjuster to come look at my vehicle and settle. have been borrowing a vehicle now i guess i will have to get a rental car until we settle. nationwide could save a lot of money if they would just settle in stead of dragging things out. nationwide is not on your side

I have been insured with Nationwide for over 15 years and have NEVER filed a homeowners claim. I was sent a non renewal letter advising that my policy was going to be cancelled due to my roof having discoloration and streaking. I had several roofers come out and confirm that my roof was still good and that I had several more years on it. 2022 we moved to the country total population is like 2,600 Insurance went down $50 a month. I got my renewal for my auto insurance 2023 and it went up $145 a month no wrecks no tickets what the heck. I called them and this is what they told me. It was because of the wrecks in my area they used to tell me that when I live in the city.
