I wouldn’t recommend homeowners insurance to these people. My husband needs a brand new roof and has been with nationwide for a while now and instead of helping him with a new roof that he needs they want to send him a check for repairs. He pays nationwide for insurance for stuff like this. I don’t know how they’re still in business?! I don’t understand how they have an A+ rating through the Better Business Bureau?! But, they are definitely not on your side. They would rather pay money overtime to patch and fix to do repairs... read more

I have them for my pet insurance and home insurance. My dog has been diagnosed with cancer and getting reimbursement for her treatments has been terrible! They requested medical records and I sent them all in the next day. It has been 3 weeks and I still have no reimbursement and no communication. My dog needs radiation weekly and I have been maxing out credit cards paying out of pocket because they have yet to reimburse. It is incredibly hard to cancel a home policy that you don't need. Nationwide makes it unnecessarily difficult to cancel through their representatives or online, and their agents hangs up on the call as soon as they hear your request. This is no way to do business and I will be canceling all my policies with them to go with ***** *****.

Terrible! Horrible, 2weeks still waiting. Their policy holder hit my parked car and the local office doesn't do any thing (****** **) they hang up on me. The adjuster they assigned says on her voice mail she doesn't monitor her mail box. *********** would have had this wrapped up fully in a weeks time.

Nationwide is not on your side. I applied for insurance and was not told a specific date that my insurance would be opened. I received emails alowing me to set up my online account, opt in for paper free notices, and an email that said if additional information would be needed that they would reach out within 3 business days. They didn't need additional information and I continued with my next appointment 4 weeks after applying. They rejected all of my claims to avoid any responsibility for payment and spit out their regular... read more
Nationwide twice has billed my auto policy incorrectly. Furthermore, they restrict access to documents requiring electronic notification. I am not authorized by Nationwide to download a PDF file of bills, so I cannot attach them for this complaint. The company makes it difficult to access documents. Very disappointed with the service my house has had water damaged since November.26,2022. As of today my claim has not been paid my house still has water damage every time it rains my rooms gets wet all over again . I have had three different contractors home inspections paid by Nationwide no one has done nothing. I’m fed up while am I paying insurance
Nationwide is not on your side. I had a home insurance policy and was dropped after just one year for being in a rural area. Don’t waste your time or money.

They do not care about their customers . we have a policy and had a very bad medical situation. We needed a grace period to pay the two months by 9 days. They refused . The do not want to talk to the customers directly , and they send you to the agent that initiated the policy , What crap we have been with them for years.
