This company has deceptive practice. We opened a life insurance for my wife for 1M. Had a cash value of $8000, we then experience a financial disruptions and couldn't pay for few months. They decided to pay their fees and premium by taking out from the cash value. No pause but take out from cash value. We ended up with $4600 left in cash value. So, we reached out to reduce the costs. Worst home insurance company when filling a claim. In ********, **** and ****** are the worst. They never answer their phone or respond to emails. And when you do get ahold of them, they say theyll give you an update the same day, which 1-3 days go by before you get that update. They dont care about the quality of repairs you receive. I am deeply disappointed with Nationwide. Despite negative reviews, I started the process of joining in September based on a siblings recommendation. Previously, a vet noted my cat had lost weight and diagnosed stomatitis. I accepted that this dental issue was pre-existing when my policy started on 10/21.Later, a specialist re-diagnosed the dental issue as simple gingivitis, but bloodwork revealed a new illness: idiopathic hypercalcemia. I have had the absolute worst experience with Nationwide claims. If you are a single person, especially female, do not even bother with this insurancI feel like this company is sexist and when they heard a female on the line they assume youre an idiot and give you the bare minimum. I had the contractor they sent and one that I had come out and they both agreed about all the things that got damaged. They said I needed a new roof ceiling needed fixed just a lot. Claimed I had paint peeling on a few bricks that was a safety hazard. The same paint was peeling when they 1st gave me my policy and they cancelled me. Sorry not fixing something that was already like that. They accessed my back yard on the side Without my permission or knowledge, it is not somewhere that they couldve seen with a drone. The company is very hard to work with. I do not recommend. Seemingly prejudice. They do not look for resolution when it come to policy with there customers. They should be investigated for there practices and customer treatment.

Put in a claim for the first time in 5 years as has had hail damage with picture proof and video on October 20 *************************************************************** the last year? Live in **** so I no thats bs plus the video proof they also stated my roof was improperly installed which is also incorrect my roof was perfect when I bought the house and had it fully inspected 10/10 will be changing insurance companies

I have used Nationwide in the past for pet insurance and had no issues. I now am having nothing but issues. I enrolled my pets in a policy several years ago. When there was a change to my CC info., I forgot to notify them and the policies canceled. I re-enrolled them last year and after providing medical records, proof of vaccinations, recent physicals, etc., I heard nothing more and figured all was fine. After 40 + years we have had 3 claims 1st a theft of about $2500 and two weather related Roof damages. The second clam they only covered half the roof and refused to do the other half. Now we have a third heal damage claim. They covered the house and storage building but refused the workshop root and gutters. They also refused part of the gutters on the main house.
