Been paying full coverage for almost 30 yrs on our home with Nationwide, never once made a claim on the house. Recently made a claim because we had a guy taking care of the house while we took care of my wifes mom due to sickness. He got behind on the bills so we evicted him. He got upset because he expected us to pay his bills he got behind on. Years of paring premium. Was in an auto accident that was the other driver's fault. Somehow... Nationwide got involved first in the valuation of my totaled vehicle and gave an incredibly low number. Actually claimed they had comps when they actually just used wholesale values from a couple of dealerships I'm sure they have used before. Since the person who hit me didn't have sufficient coverage, my coverage was supposed to be used to supplement. The low resolution offers continued. After 28 years with them, I received a letter stating they are going to charge me for $425k insurance on my home, that is only valued at $270k. They lost me as a customer forever.

I have held a nationwide pet insurance policy since 2019, all was great until a couple weeks ago. When I had an emergency with my Labrador that unfortunately ended in goodbyes. I had discovered that the policy was canceled due to an expired debit card. I never once received any notification from their billing department via mail, phone or email. Shady business practices. The website takes 14 days to verify an address change without notifying you prior to the address change that it will trigger a 14 day hold on your account. Cant rollover/withdraw in that timeframe even if you call the support *********** verify you. Bureaucratic & inconvenient process. In this day and age i wouldn't recommend.

THEEE WORST insurance company EVER! I am shopping around as we speak for a new provider because they KEEP s******* up basic things like they had my property as a Frame building and I've called to correct it twice. How come they didn't CLEARLY see the brick and cinder block when they went out for inspection - OR DID THEY EVER GO OUT???? They sent me a cancelation for non payment saying I'm on monthly payments but I'm escrowed and they pay ANNUALLY.... I had to put them on a three way call with the mortgage company over a year... read more
